Hotel Saint George

We stayed for two nights while exploring Iguazu Falls. The room was spacious with large modern bathrooms, great AC (a must), an adequate gym (4 machines old but usable with AC-it’s near the ground!) and a swimming pool that we had no time to use. Great service, breakfast was just OK with mostly breads and what looked like canned fruit, deli ham, scrambled vs. boiled eggs, cut up hot dogs In an Italian red sauce (my fiancé liked it), water, tea, good variety of fruit juices available. Great location near what seems to be the main strip near great restaurants (La Rueda and Aqva). Definitely recommend.

Es la segunda vez que venimos y esta vez en patota familiera. Las habitaciones son muy confortables y muy bien equipadas. El mismo cuenta con una piscina super grande, gimnasio sala de masajes y yna zona de juegos. Cuenta con restaurant propio «doña maria» con servicio buffet. Frente al mismo se encuentra la terminal de omnibus… donde esta el colectivo que te deja en la puerta del parque nacional de cataratas. el personal es muy atento… super recomendable!

This is our last night here. We have mainly used the hotel for just sleeping in, choosing to eat our meals off the premises to try the local restaurants in the town. The location is great as it’s an easy walk into the little town of Puerto Iguazu that seems to live off the falls. So in the daytime or the late afternoons, the town resembles a sleepy uninhabited closed look. In the night the town comes alive and every shop is open like its a lively fun town filled with touristy kitsch for sale.
So if location is important to you, definitely pick this hotel.
The rating is 4stars, but the bathroom shows a lot of wear and tear, and on some days we got such frayed towels that might have been better used for rags, it was rather sad and upsetting. So for a 4 star rating, I would have expected a bit more care on such things.
The rooms however are well made, spacious enough for us and no complaints there.
The check in service for us was swift, but on some days coming into the hotel, I have seen long queues of tour groups waiting to check in so I guess it would depend upon your luck.
I have rated this hotel 4 stars as they have a great location into town, easy access to most things and all the facilities for a good vacation place. Plus they seem popular with tour groups who rate this hotel highly, so sometimes the staff is less keen on being polite or providing good service as they are ensured of a good customer base through the tour groups. And Puerto Iguazu is more the sort of place that one would visit once or even twice in your life, to see the falls rather than make it an annual vacation spot.

Todo muy bien. Confortable, cálido y en el corazón de la ciudad. Esta todo cerca, y el desayuno es muy bueno. Moderno y con habitaciones espaciosas. Lo recomiendo
