This is a great restaurant in the tiny town of Punta Alta– but La Robla could be anywhere! Cozy with big wooden tables, the restaurant inspires a happy dining experience with family and friends. A group of 7 wandered in there around 9 pm– e were immediately seated and the service from the get go was impeccable. We started with rounds of aperitifs and I tried the Gancia– a citrusy bitter concoction. Everyone tried a cocktail and we were all so happy. Moving on to dinner, most of the group was int eh mood for pizza, so many lovely pizzas were tried. The salmon was a hit, as well as the Brochettes(me) — lovely! Of course, when there is a party, desserts must be had! I tried a new drink for me called a Lemon Champ, which is lemon sherbet in CHAMPAGNE! I could not have been happier. Throw in a few bottles of Malbec, and the table was very happy indeed. What we didn’t see coming was the bottle of champagne they popped, gratis, for our table! Wow! Stagger back to the hotel we did! I wish La Robla was in my town…
