Let me preface this by saying both my boyfriend and I are complete carnivores. We love Argentine steak and rarely pass up an opportunity for an asado. However, one night when we were in Salta, Jimi told me he «wasn’t very hungry» so we decided to give Chirimoya a chance. We were BLOWNAWAY. The first interesting thing is the menu. The chef really went around the world with their meal concoctions. We decided to get a Thai stir fry, a Middle Eastern hummus and quinoa concoction, and an avocado and mushroom version of tuna tartar(that’s as close a comparison as we could make). The portions were huge– we literally couldn’t finish them. The veggies were cooked to perfection, the flavor were rich, and we got so stuffed we almost forgot there was no meat involved! Another great addition was their fresh juices. You could order juices(very smoothie-like) by the pitcher. We had a strawberry, pineapple, orange one and it was delightfully refreshing. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

This is the best vegan restaurant I’ve ever eaten in. Today was my second time in here and everything was amazing again. Their dishes are delicious; they change their menu daily and the portions are ample. I have eaten in many restaurants and this beats any of them, vegan or not. My «Fiesta Andina» had quinoa dumplings with a mint salsa and a variety of potatoes from the region. It was delicious. My friend had a «Burger de Garbanzo» and he couldn’t have been happier. The dessert a «Panqueque de banana» was amazing. It was dehydrated banana and fruits, all natural no sugar or flour. If you’re in Salta, don’t miss this place!
