Great coffee and a nice breakfast menu. The French Toast was fantastic and the coffee strong and we’ll made. This place has turned into my local breakfast stop when I’m in Adelaide.

Coffee was great. If I’m picky the soy milk was slightly overdone making the froth a little stiff and plasticky but that’s being really picky. Coming here again!

Great City Morning Coffee Spot. Popular with MAMIL’s as there is bike parking directly out front. Good coffee, quick service. Cabinet full if take away goodies. Fun and interactive rewards card program.

Got to channel Twin Peaks — «That’s some damn fine coffee» Popular, usually busy Itallianesque café right on Victoria Square. My stop for coffee every morning on the way into work. Decent range of food that is always well prepared and reasonably priced. Biggest plus for me — on NoQ network so my coffee is there ready for me as I walk in the door

In all its yellow glory is a popular café for the office types working in and around Victoria Square. I’ve worked my way through most of the menu — but in winter its usually the soup of the day which catches my attention and is consistently delicious and comes with a big piece of crusty Italian bread. It is always busy so you want to get in at 12 instead of 12.30 especially if you aren’t keen on sitting outside. It isn’t super speedy but generally you’ll be in and out within an hour lunch break. The service is a bit hit and miss which is disappointing they can’t seem to decide if they have table service or not so I always get caught in this awkward limbo of if I should go up to order or wait at my table. This awkwardness increased after a waiter abruptly told my friends to return to their seats to order, but sometimes you have to go up or you won’t be having lunch.

I’ve dined at Blefaris many times over the past year. The two brothers who run the place are the leaders of the professional yet laid back service shown by all the staff. The coffee is good and they are passionate about what they make. They will get to know your name if you are a regular and will soon memorise and anticipate your order. I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’m not a massive fan of Italian cuisine. The soups, salads, pizza and pasta are all generous in serves and tasty. The cooked breakfast is as good as any I’ve tasted in a café(they know how to poach eggs properly). I’ve heard they serve good muesli, too. Part of the reason I’m not a massive fan of Italian country-style food is because of their traditionally massive serves and heavy use of bread and pasta, which always make me feel like I’ve eaten for a week. However, if this is your kind of cuisine then Blefaris should be right up your alley. If I only had one nit to pick with Blefaris that stops me from giving them a 5 is that they are quickly swamped by the regular tides of bureaucrats in the surrounding buildings. This despite having purchased two coffee machines. It’s not they’re fault they are so convenient to so many people in the immediate area. Also, don’t go here if you work nearby and want to hold a quiet, low-key meeting. The place isn’t cramped but it can get very noisy and its a huge fishbowl.

Participatory coffee is my new term, which i think applies here. They took the time to ask whether there was enough/too much milk so that they’d get my coffee right… I like that. Great morning stop off.

Really nice place for lunch but the breakfast menu sounds great too. Lovely bright yellow and black colour scheme, staff who are knowing, efficient as well as easy on the eye! Last time I was there I had Mamas soup, huge bowl chock full of vegetables and pasta and served with crunchy bread, very filling, tasty and not expensive. The focaccias, paninis etc are all generously filled and more substantial meals are also available like pastas, fish, veal dishes etc. Overall good experience.

My «local» for work, this place does an awfully smooth coffee with some awfully smooth men serving it to you to boot! I must admit I’ve never eaten here but I do see a range of home style Italian cooking served up daily to the local office folk. Probably not the best place to have a business meeting because it is a bit noisy(although many people try because you just can’t go past how good the coffee is and how quick the service), . However, it is a lovely place for a brew and I love that this family owned(two brothers plus Mum) business is making a go of it in Adelaide and succeeding!

Great coffee and a pleasant, no frills, modern Italian lunch menu.
