Forgot that you needed to print 200 postcards for an event tomorrow? Need a cheap, short print run that won’t break the budget but still looks classy? Or are you looking for some random window stickers or oversized posters and banners? John and John are your answer to cheap, good quality, spectacular service printers in Adelaide CBD. They aren’t the cheapest in town but they are cheaper than Officeworks and pretty close to the large print run manufacturers. They are also happy to give you advice on how to reduce the cost of your print run — no one is crazy enough to do this except these down to earth guys who will do anything for your business. You don’t even have to pretend to have«forgotten your student card,» to get good prices here! They are a small business but produce beautiful quality materials and posters if you are looking for something fairly run of the mill(pun intended).

Oh, dear god help me — I have to get something printed nicely and properly by… 5 minutes ago and I pretty much have no money! Being a printer primarily for arts and graphic design students — directly opposite the UNISA design and architecture schools — Campus Colour has helped many a student out in a spot of desperate trouble. I had an art exhibition at last year’s Adelaide Fringe and I had Campus Colour print out the invites and the individual art piece information that sits under each artwork. They looked GREAT, they were cheap, good quality and the service was brilliant. They stopped doing what they were doing to help me, including changing file formats, playing with colours and image settings. Being in the city, they were slightly out of the way for me — but it was worth me KNOWING I was going to get a good job done quickly.

The joys of campus colour as I see it lie primarily in the personalised service. They are about the same price as Office works and other suppliers for standard jobs, DL, postcards on heavyweight stock, large posters with gloss, or matt finish, documents… and other more bizarre art student requests. The bonus is — if you haven’t got the format /dimensions /resolution of your graphics correct John and John will help you out with it. They’ll take care of your requirements start to finish and will ensure a quality job. from the image to the laminating and binding, or whatever else it is that you require. As a result I continue to use campus colour in my professional life for all my promotional printing needs. Chloe is right, thay can be a little dad-jokey but I’m happy to endure, as long as they keep converting my j-pegs to tifs with a minimum of fuss.

Opposite the UniSA City West Campus is Campus Colour — a godsend for all art, design and architecture students. UniSA used to have it’s own dedicated special printing store, but it was a little more expensive than Campus Colour(from what I remember). You can still do your own printing and photocopying at UniSA but if you’re crap at operating a photocopier or want something special(larger size, special paper, lamination or wire binding) Campus Colour is just across the road, near the Yiros Shop and STA Travel. I fit into the first category — crap at operating a photocopier. i can handle as much as two pages, single-sided and from there I’m all at sea. Paper, ink and black splotches flying everywhere. Staples in foreheads. Whenever I need a large document(9 copies of a 28 page doc for example!) printed, Campus Colour sort me out. The prices are competitive, and they have become accustomed to dealing with the special requests from come from design and architecture students(AO copies of plans, that kind of stuff). The service is very comprehensive and efficient, but a little on the odd side sometimes. The proprietors — John and John — can be a little patronising at times and they definitely have their own system which you’d best not interrupt. They can be a touch on the old-fashioned side — when John addresses me with ‘What can I do for you, young lady?” I wonder if that means I can call him«old man». That said, they are also old-fashioned about cutting you a good deal if you’re a regular.
