La Rambla

This is another one of the many bars that have popped up in Adelaide’s laneways and honestly, I didn’t think too much of this place. I basically discovered it as I started exploring some of the laneways to see what had popped up since I was last in Adelaide, and my eyes basically fell on this place, so after work I popped in for a drink. There wasn’t a huge range of beers on tap, and the place seemed, well, rather bland. I don’t want to knock it too much because the service was okay, it was just that with all of the other options that had appeared around the city (especially in this area) La Rambla really didn’t have anything that attracted it to me.

Came here for a post dinner drink with some friends and quite enjoyed it.
Nice and quiet up the stairs and drink prices were fairly pricey but to be expected at a place like this.
Never had to line up too long for a drink and the wine list was decent also.

Fabulous tapas and amazing cocktails. We did the $ 40 tapas banquet and there was plenty of food. The prawns and goats cheese brûlée were my favourite but everything was amazing! Staff were super friendly and made great recommendations. Highly recommend!

Have eaten here for both lunch and dinner and enjoyed all occasions. The tapas is varied and delicious and the serves are good value for the price. I recommend getting the Patatas Bravas if you’re hungry and like fried potatoes (and let’s face it, who doesn’t). A friend of mine had the salad which, for only $ 12, was a monster crammed full of top quality ingredients. Can also recommend the lamb meatballs, the fried chorizo and the prawns. The staff are friendly and attentive, the atmosphere cool and there are different seating options available, inside and out. I’d like to have a go at their cocktail menu at some stage.

Strolled into this place while visiting Adelaide. It’s a multi– floor place with few bars. The creativity of the bartenders is abound. The cocktail menu is quiet varied for every pallet and they will make what you want even if not on the menu. Atmosphere is very upbeat and the service is outstanding. They really know how to cater to your needs and are very proactive about it. A must visit while in town.

Great food, nice atmosphere and extremely friendly and efficient staff. Well worth a look.
