Not only is the name really cute, the place is too! If you’re in a rush and want something to cheap on the run, I’d suggest rolling your way to Roll ‘n’ Roll! See what I did there lol! The place is really small, it’s not really ideal if you want to dine in. There are plenty of chairs and tables outside though if you’re to sit ^.^ The sushi they have inside looks fake but it’s actually real! They have such attention to detail on the construction of these tasty delicacies. I’ve heard they are really good but I haven’t tried myself! I shall venture my way back and try the delicious fake looking sushi treats :)

I am so wary of sushi spots — often going to the ones familiar to me and not down streets intersecting Hindley St. But with the re-development of Bank St to now include outdoor seating and my Unilocal app recommending I go here in hand I decided to «give this place a go.» I now have this theory… the smaller the sushi spot and the more plastic meals they have on display the better and more freshly made the sushi roll. Being a huge raw tuna and sushi fan I was not overly astounded at the fish variety on the menu here(aside from 1 raw salmon sushi roll) however because I was feeling adventurous I thought I’d tried eel in a Dragon Roll and Caterpillar Roll. Ignore everything you know about eel and just put it in your mouth and swallow — it is really tasty. The rolls are made fresh in front of you — hence an enormous line up at lunch from 1pm. The rice is still soft and fluffy and does not have that stiff caked refrigerated taste. I also couldn’t get over prices. My friend and I shared 12 pieces(larger than normal) of sushi + 2 green teas for a total of $ 15. Who would have thought I could get such great savings from this Bank St hole in the wall?

Yum yum yum, I was a little wary of this place, as there is no fresh sushi on display, you choose from the pictures. I then saw the ladies cutting up my Teriyaki Chicken roll wrapped in glad wrap. However what received was some of the most delicious sushi I have had, to the point where I am considering sneaking more in on the way back to the car!!!

I am in love with Rock & Roll Sushi. This place is such a word of mouth type find, but believe me you will be so glad that you found it. I do not know what it is about this place, but the sushi here just taste better. It is almost although it has some special type of fusion that melts in your mouth. The reason why Rock & Roll sushi goes unnoticed is because of its Bank Street location(the continuation of Leigh Street and just off Hindley Street). The staff are so sweet and there is a little bit of seating by the window. Look out for the recent article displayed straight from Adelaide Matters magazine. Apparently they love it too. If you are with someone else, then it is probably worth asking what special deals they have for two. Expect your final choice to be rather difficult with various delicious selections such as Dragon Rolls, French Kiss Rolls and Fusion sushi & California rolls to conflict your final decision. There are also a few other non-sushi related meals such as salads and soups but I cannot say that I have tried those. Anyway, now it is over to you sushi-nisters. Tanoshimu!
