Now this is a place for people who love their tea. I first discovered this place when I received some tea for my birthday, and then another friend saw them and told me how much she loved this place(she really likes her tea). In fact we ended up coming here for her engagement party. As I have suggested, this place is for those who love tea, and I have to say that their range is huge. Mind you it doesn’t take me all that long to chose my tea because, well, I generally like traditional tea with some flavour as opposed to herbal infusions. It is also a café, and their bacon wrap wasn’t bad at all. Mind you, I came here for lunch and decided to see if their coffee actually matched their tea, and I have to agree that it does.

After visiting the T Bar tea house in the city. Decided to visit The T Bar Tea House situated at 44 Gouger St end of the Adelaide Central Market. I found the café light, bright & inviting, with a good range of seating/table options, set in a relaxing environment. An extensive range of Tea’s, with fresh food choices, which makes this place popular. Once again the service was excellent, staff friendly. A good call to relax from your frantic shopping in the market. Pleased I made the effort. When next in the market will make this a call.

This is a great spot for a cup of tea/coffee. I went today for a meeting. While my soy chai latte(with syrup, not leaves) was a good size for the money and tasted fantastic(complete with a cinnamon stick), it was too loud for a meeting. The selection of teas is fantastic, as well. I didn’t try the food but I hear it’s nice. Definitely a good way to chill out after shopping in the crazy busy Central Markets.

I have been a regular at T Bar for many years. Being an absolute green tea addict, this place is highly recommended if you fancy a cup of tea during the day. I call it the bible, but they actually have a menu(which is more like a small book) with their entire tea range in it. They have two pages on green tea alone! They also offer delicious food. I regularly order their porridge which is always so creamy and always hits the spot on a cold morning. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is rather relaxing, make sure you give them a visit!

What the hell is a Bap? It doesn’t really matter. Get a Bap no. 5. Smoked salmon, cream cheese and fresh snow pea shoots they have growing in the fridge. Get it with an simple Australian Breakfast or one of the five hundred thousand other fancy fancy teas on offer. For a quick lunch on your own or with acquaintances, it can’t be beat.

I love nothing more than a pot of fresh tea, so you’ll often find me in here stocking up on different teas. My fave would have to be the jasmine blend. They have every type pf tea you could imagine here, and not only is it great for tea shopping, but its also good for gifts. Then there is that tea smell that hits you when you walk in, which is reason enough to go there in my opinion.

I do enjoy a pot of fresh tea, so I am a regular visitor to T Bar. The Gouger Street T Bar is not my favourite simply due to cramped store. Do not enter if you are claustrophobic! The tea’s available to purchase line the entire side wall and are available for sniffing, but it is near impossible squeezing behind the tables and seats which are basically pushed up against the wall. Back to the tea products, there are so many teas available to try and purchase, as well as all the bits and pieces needed to brew your own tea at home. Some of the teapots and cups are so precious. It’s easy to be flustered in here, that’s for sure. Although cute and cosy, it’s perhaps a little too cosy.

Although a lot of the tea-related focus has been shifted to the enormous T-2 on Rundle Street, we all know who captivated us first: T Bar. Their peppermint tea blend is one of my favourites, as it’s the perfect hot beverage to have when your winding down in the evening. The dragon’s tears tea is also a good one, and apparently good for your body — although it tastes like nothing. If you like the taste of hot water, this is right up your alley. The shop’s tea accessories also make for great tea-making at home, and if you happen to have a friend that can’t get enough of it, you’ve got yourself an easy gift idea. Their range of teapots and matching cups are colourful and homey, and if you don’t have anyone to gift them to, then having a set for yourself will surely get you excited each time you boil the kettle.

T-bar is the ultimate go-to for tea lovers. I love their Gunpowder green tea. Like its name suggests, it’s strong and blows your mind if you accidentally let it infuse for more than 2 minutes, tops. I buy their peppermint tea to make at home too. They have a wide selection of different teas from anywhere and everywhere, and helpful descriptions about the purpose and benefits of each tea on the packaging. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The café’s interior is nice and cosy, although it can get a bit cramped at times. Aside from the tea, they also have a delicious food menu. I love the Turkish 2 and Bap 5 — you’ll have to try them to find out what they are. All I can say is, quality.

I’m a coffee-girl, but if I’m going to drink tea it’s always a T-bar tea. I can’t get my head around paying $ 4 for leaves with hot water poured over, so I buy the bags of tea to make at home. T bar have the most sensational selection of teas I have ever seen. I’m currently drinking spearmint and liquorice(I buy the bags separately combine in a pot) and I love the Herbal Health blends and always have at least two on the go. Activi-T and Clarit-T are my two current favourites. They also stock a great selection of gifts too. Perfect for Christmas or birthday for anyone who loves a good brew.

T bar in Gouger Street is an absolute must for tea connoisseurs. There are shelves and shelves of every type of tea imaginable. Herbal teas for different ailments have cute names such as Immuni-T and Daint-T. You can purchase Buddha Balls, which are amazing white tea balls that open up into flowers as they infuse. Not only do these weird and wonderful teas taste good they look pretty! It is an amazing experience just roaming through this world of strange and exotic teas. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The café itself is warm and olde worlde. Thick wood bench tables and wicker chairs dominate. The food is good, especially the breakfast and there is always a warm brew of tea on the counter to sample.
