I’m not really all that sure if I ever liked the place. The only reason that I ever ended up coming here was because my collegues would come down here every so often for a drink after work, usually on a Friday night. It is actually a pretty nice bar, and has a lovely courtyard out the back(it used to be the old Treasury Building) though when I came here for a drink over Christmas I have to admit that I really didn’t actually think much of the place. Okay, it probably had more to do with my friends not being here, or that you couldn’t go down into the vaults anymore. However, I think it has a lot more to do with my tastes chaging a lot since I used to go here.

I love a good espresso martini, but this place was really disappointing. Cocktails where very watered down. And horrible flavour. Not value for $$

I stayed at the Adina for about 3 weeks and this restaurant/bar has been amazing. From coffee in the mornings to room service and dinner of the evening it’s a convenient location! They have an amazing wine list and two different menus, one for the bar and one for the restaurant so no matter what you feel like there’s something for every occasion. The bar can be pretty noisy on a Friday night with after work drinks from the workers nearby but it’s a great building and the courtyard is gorgeous!

I am actually going to give this place a fantastic review. The restaurant is set in a beautiful historic building, well preserved and definitely a highlight of any visit. I came here with three friends before starting a classy night on the town. It has to be one the nicest fine dining establishments I have been to in Adelaide. The service was impeccable, the meals were very well presented and quite tantalising. The Bombe Alaska was a great finish to the night and the wine menu was extensive and very well priced. Will definitely come back, and hope that we’re just as lucky the second time around!

Since we stayed at the Adina overnight, we decided to try The Treasury for breakfast. As soon as we ordered, the waitress thought they may have run out of both our choices, and went to check with the chef. At this point, we thought we were going to have to leave(I ordered Croque Madame, and my partner the French Toast with maple syrup), but it turns out they had only run out of maple syrup. While my partner was disappointed(and bemused that an upmarket restaurant could have a dodgy stock level organisational skills), we decided to stay anyway. And wow, I’m glad we did! The Croque Madame(which is the Croque Monsieur with a fried egg on top!) was absolutely delicious — full of gorgeous finely sliced ham and cheese — the bread was fried so it was crispy and flavoursome, but not too greasy. It was so yummy, I ate it all — even though I was full by the time I was ¾ the way through ;) My partner ended up with bacon and scrambled eggs — she loves me enough to give me a taste of bacon(now *that’s* real love, folks!), and it was the second best bacon I have ever tried(first is Wild Mulberry in Robe) . The Treasury was so close to being a 5 star experience … but it’s not professional to run out of a key menu item, regardless of how popular the dish is — the Central Markets are just across the road! However, I would definitely like to come here again — the Croque Madame is calling me … would it be ridiculous to order bacon on the side next time? ;)

I met my wife here last night for dinner. Food: — choice: menu was quite broad in variety, just under 10 mains I think — price: a little pricey, but reasonable considering the quality. We used an Entertainment Book voucher(25% off) and got 1 main, 1 entry, 1 side and a $ 36 bottle of wine for $ 71. –quality: Really, really good. I had Pork cutlet on mash with an Orange sauce. My wife had the Pork Belly Entrée with a Celeriac Coleslaw. Unusual for us both to order the same meat, but the dishes were quite distinct and neither of us were disappointed. — time between ordering and arrival: slow-ish, but this may have been due to them being understaffed. Food arrived hot. — Wine list: Not extensive, but reasonable breadth of varietals and regions. Resonably priced. Surroundings: Very comfortable. It could easily be a silver service restaurant with this ambience Service: Friendly, professional but slow — not a fault of the staff, the restaurant just don’t put enough members on, and it was only about half full. My wife had already ordered a bottle of wine and been served by the time I arrived. The wine bottle was placed on a shelf near the table(indicating it would be poured for us). I sat down and eventually got up to pour it myself because no staff had come past in about 10 minutes. Summary: well worth a visit for a slightly upmarket dinner. Food is sensational, ambience is wonderful, and service is professional, though they are understaffed.

This restaurant is set in the grand old treasury building, which dates back to the 1830s. It really is a lovely setting. The service is generally quite good, the staff are friendly and the food is nice and interesting enough. You’ve generally got to book ahead for a table at the grand Treasury restaurant. There are a few dishes suitable for those on a gluten free or vegetarian diet. BARMENU There’s quite a good bar menu of small plates, nine-inch pizzas and the like. The wine list is extensive and not as expensive as you might think. The cocktail list is quite good too. I like a nice peach bellini champagne cocktail or two after work in the beautiful courtyard area. BREAKFAST The breakfasts here are nice. I’m a bit partial to the poached eggs with roast mushroom, truffle pecorino and toast. It’s nice to get the day off to a luxurious start. There is a good selection of tea, coffee and fruit juice. Alas, smoothies are absent from the menu. LUNCHANDDINNER These meals offer quite good modern Australian cuisine. And it’s always good to see the lean kangaroo on the menu.
