Poor service, we waited about 10 minutes for the menu then we had to call the waiters/waitress over to order. They where too busy chatting with a man there that looked like he was the owner. But they ran when I went to pay my bill. The quality of the food is great but they use too much sumac in the food and I love it so I usually overdose. They forgot a few things that we ordered, didn’t complain as we where not charged. I had this restaurant recommended by a family friend. But let me tell you there are more better Lebanese restaurants out there!

Easily one of my favourite restaurants ever. The food is ALWAYS exceptional and the service does not get any better. A wonderful experience every time, and I can never wait to return! Tip: the lamb cigars will change your life.

There should be more stars to award Dunyazad. Food is *always* excellent, and service outstanding. Go on a Friday or sometimes Saturday nights and you might get a(classy) belly-dancing show to go with your meal. Recommend the banquet, which we rarely can go past. Pay an extra little bit and it’s bottomless. We’re friends with a giant of a man with an appetite to match his stature, and even he had to admit defeat to the amount of food that was coming out. But it’s quality not quantity that really impresses here. The lamb cigars(unsure if real name, but that’s what we call them) are crazy good, and worth the extra $ for the bottomless banquet just to get repeats of. In fact if I went there and could only eat those little guys I’d walk out a very happy man. All other dishes are also excellent though. It’s very lamb heavy(as you would expect) so you might be put into a lamb-coma by the end of the night, but we have also introduced lots of vegetarian friends to Dunyazad and the veg-option banquet has always delighted and satisfied all of them too. Never had the wait-service be anything less than excellent, and don’t be shy to ask for a decanter if you bring along a hefty shiraz to accompany the meat party awaiting you. If you don’t BYO though, the wine list has lots of excellent choices at a good variety of price points. The best compliment we can pay Dunyazad is that while we are locals, friends we have taken there are more than happy to travel a little to our corner of the ‘burbs to go back again.

Haven’t been there for a while. What an ambiance, love the simplistic not overpowering middle eastern décor. Food is better, the banquet price has gone up, $ 50/head. Turkish Delights is delightful, yes typical mid-eastern sweets, they are a bit generous with sugar, just have to balance it with the black coffee and minted, cinnamon tea. Will be back sometimes in the future.

A great family run Lebanese restaurant, I’ve been here on several occasions now having the Banquet each time and it just can’t be beat. Excellent food, atmosphere and service will keep me continuing to come back for years to come(and rolling out the door… so much food!). My favorite dishes would have to be the kibbeh, meat cigars and mahalabia. Definitely worth checking out and for a bit of entertainment come on a Friday/Saturday night when they have a belly dancer for entertainment!

I have only sampled delicious fare from Dunyazad as takeaway so I am not able to comment on the atmosphere in the restaurant. However what I can rave about is the authentic Lebanese cuisine. The friendly staff at this family owned restaurant arm you with a delicious array of goods to sample off site. I love Mezze which is pretty much just the Middle Eastern version of tapas. The dips are fresh and full of flavour and my favourite mezze were the vine leaves and spicy lamb sausages. The mains include kibbi, kafta and kebabs and you will find a range of char coaled and marinated meats as well as a fish option and two vegetarian mains. You can round off your Lebanese feast with the usual sweets of Baklava or Turkish delight. Dunyazad has a great reputation and has stayed in business for decades, which is clearly a testament to the great authentic food, value and service. For takeaway order at least an hour before meal time as it gets busy here on weekends.

I have been coming to Dunyazad for Lebanese food since I was 4. This family restaurant is beautiful, with its decorated walls and brightly coloured lanterns is a brilliant place to go for an intimate or large meal. My favourites are the smoky baba ghanouj and crispy falafel to start, followed with shish tawook or lamb shish kebabs, follow that with some baklava or Turkish delight and there is something that everyone can enjoy. A long-standing family business Dunyazad has been standing for decades now. By providing consistently delicious food at a reasonable price the restaurant and its sister restaurant(KanZaman on Bridge Rd) are miles ahead of the pack of other hopefuls opening beside them. Years of consistent product and friendly service have given the owners of the restaurant a very loyal and content clientele. Consider booking a table before you go, as on weekends it can get very busy. Or just get some take away and relax at home. It hasn’t changed much since I was 4. But then again, why mess with a good thing?
