An energetic little café near the train station in Beecroft with a tasty looking menu. I’ve only ever had coffee frothier which has always been top notch and the homemade pear and raspberry bread which was light, fluffy and served with plenty of delicious butter! If you’re aiming to come here for brunch at any point be prepared for long waits as they’re always pretty busy and lots of parents and kids and grandparents so it can get pretty loud even outside.

Great Café with an exciting and tasty menu. The pulled pork brekky roll was super yummy. Small downside is that the layout is a little tight and a queue ebbs for a Saturday brunch.

This place has an energetic vibe, although during the day the patrons are a mature crowd at lunch time. Indoor and outdoor seating, tables and shared benches this café is just across the road from Beecroft Station. In the mornings it is abuzz as workers drop by for a take away, and it is a favourite for the school drop off mums. I used to work in Beecroft in my pre-Yelp life, so I can offer this bigger portrait. Coffee was good & service was friendly. And my dentist is just across the road!

This is an extremely popular café in Hills area. Always crowded, and bursting with people. The food here is good, but personally I come for the coffee. Probably the major problem with this place is that it is not very scenic. But honestly most cafes in the Hills are not scenic. So don’t come here if you are looking for ambiance, come here for some good food and coffee. They do take away but the best food is when you sit down. Also the breakfast is a lot better than the lunch.

Always buzzing and popular, Longshot is a great place for brunch with friends, we do catch ups here regularly. The coffee is great and the food is delicious! I love the avocado/roasted tomato/fetta on sourdough, and the poached pear oats during the cooler months. Also good for cute baby and dog spotting!

2⁄5 Came for the buzz, left unbuzzed. Straight up. Cappuccino was left with a less than average meh as too was the meal. A breakfast bruschetta should have not left me hungry for more. You expect some sort of sauce to go with but the perfectly made poached egg didn’t have enough to cover the large amount bread base. A bit said that the bacon & bread only had the tomato to compliment. I’ve had a lot better. Perhaps should had mushrooms? The winning choice was the corn fritters where the red mayo sauce was a excellent touch. The fritter held well after all the bites and cuts. Yum! I’ve seen smaller kitchens and happier staff before. It is a sunday morning rush after all. The finishing double espresso wasn’t enough to win the day. I’ll be trying the surrounding cafes for sure. Mark My Words

One of the best places for coffee in Beecroft. A great menu as well and it’s almost always crowded and buzzing which makes for a great atmosphere. Great location just near the station and at the end of the arcade. This is our favourite coffee stop.

I’d passed this place on a Saturday morning for the past two years and seen how busy it was but it was only this past sunny summer Sunday that I’ve actually gone to try the all day breakfast. FOOD My friend and I both ordered the scrambled eggs($ 9). I ordered it with sourdough toast and a side of mushrooms(extra $ 4). For the price I would have expected a little more egg and mushrooms. It did fill me up though. I liked how the mushrooms weren’t overly oily as some places seem to drench them in oil. I ordered a chai latte and my friend got a piccolo latte. He ended up getting two so I assume the coffee was satisfactory. The chai was a tad on the sweet side but nevertheless still enjoyable. SERVICE This isn’t a place where you wait to get seated. We learnt that the hard way as we were waiting for the ok to go sit down at a newly vacated table only to have someone else take the initiative and plonk themselves down no questions asked. Water is also self service. When we sat down at a table whilst it was being cleared the waitress asked us if we wanted water but then at the end of the meal we were still waiting for it only to be told it was self service at the counter. VERDICT Particularly busy on weekends which gives it a nice buzzing atmosphere. Doesn’t compare with the brunch places in crows nest or surry hills but definitely a good local spot for those that live around the Beecroft area.

Walking up the hill from the station, out of the corner of my eyes I spotted a place for me to get my first dbl mac of the day. While the tables out the front looked like they were associated with some sort of rural café, inside was sleek and modern. A long wooden table was offset by a dark chocolate wall and a mirror. Quite nice… The shiny metal kitchen sparkled with the look of a busy kitchen. Where as Chicken and Fishhead café(review ) is for the mums with kids, this place is for the adults. Given the popularity of this café, and he modern cement floored designed, the excited babble of the predominantly middle aged women drowns out most thoughts. Each table im competition with the next to talk over each other.(I now think a seat outside may have been a better option). The coffee gets delivered and it looks good. More froth than I would prefer, but anyway you cut it, this was a dbl mac. Given the amount of crema, the bitterness was a real shock. Not quite burnt, but very close. The shots had obviously had too much time to overcook before the milk was added. Pity. The rest of the coffee was great. Feels like a really nice café to get food as well, but the size of their coffee machine suggests more passion about coffee than your average hole in the wall.
