Curtin has a lot places to eat and high prices, but Simply Delicious is independently owned and doesn’t follow Curtin’s money hungry philosophy. If you’re after some fresh vegetarian rice paper rolls or bahn mi thit with or without chilli head directly here. Everything is made on campus and uses fresh ingredients. They also offer icecreams, sweets, nuts, chips, drinks, bread rolls and salads. It is a small shop that is constantly humming with people coming and going. Make sure you know what you want to order before you get to the counter, otherwise you will you get the stink eye by everyone. The service is fast and efficiently with the occasional smile. Get in, get delicious food and leave happy that it didn’t cost you an arm and leg and tastes fresh and fabulous.

Curtin University has always been a difficult place to find decent food. The majority of cafés are contracted out to one company so we are all forced to eat the same overpriced factory processed sandwiches and rolls from these stores. The independent Simply Delicious used to be one of the only acceptable place to order a toasted sandwich for an affordable price on campus. I used to purchase my food from them daily. With the recant change of ownership the quality of food has got so terrible that I refuse to return.

The«Home Made» Pies are Chunky, full of meat & flavour, just enough of the gravy and several choices from which to choose. Makes the walk up the hill worth the trip.

I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with the previous review of Simply Suspicious. I have worked and studied at Curtin on and off since 2005 and full time for the last four years and there are only two reasons to visit Simply’s — muffins and the main café is closed. A disclaimer I’m not a coffee drinker, nor do I eat sushi, which are apparently Simply’s strengths, but still I cant imagine they are so extraordinary that they make up for everything else that’s shit. The sandwiches are plain, particularly avoid the pink ‘BBQ’ chicken. I must’ve been so hungover to actually buy it the one time i did, but the alcohol sure didn’t dull the grotesque taste. Its fine if you want a drink or chocolate bar but you can get that from anywhere — the chemist is even cheaper! Avoid

There are two places I eat on campus and Simply Delicious is one of them. It’s a pokey little take away shop down the side of the guild building and next to Fringe Benefits. They sell a range of sushi, chips, muffins, lollies, nuts and cold drinks. The best thing here though is their salads. They don’t have many, but I’m a huge fan of their tabouleh, chickpea and mint, and tomato Lima bean salads. I get a large and fill it up with all three choices for $ 6.90. Way cheaper than the main café! They also accept guild membership for discounts but if my memory serves me I think it only amounted to something like 10c. They’re super quick with their service too. Most of their good stuff sells out before 2pm so get in early if you can.

Simply Delicious is a teensey-weensey hole-in-the-wall deli that crams in a healthy array of take-away lunches, mostly of the Asian variety. There are teryaki chicken boxes, fresh rice paper rolls, salads and some top-shelf snack items like creamy Casa yoghurts. I’d commonly come here for their sushi it is… simply delcicious(had to say it!). The teryaki chicken rolls are great; there’s something sweetly different about the teryaki sauce, I can’t put my finger on it. It’s a minuscule space and in order to get the flow of people moving in and out, the workers will be repeatedly be shouting at you; «next pleeease!!» «Can I help you pleeease!!» to jostle you along. So don’t be offended by their pushy service, it’s just how they operate; get in, get what you want and for goodness sake, have the correct change ready.
