Wong Hawkers Food

Not a fancy as restaurant but the food is sure a pleaser! Wongs has been around for ages and it’s my go to place for some cheap and tasty Asian cuisine.
This place is always pack at dinner time and you could tell that patrons are regulars when the owner greets you by your first name and ushers you to your seat at the same time catching up on the latest goss!
The food here never disappoints. My favs are the chicken curry/​chicken rice and nasi lemak. Generous serving with a great balance of spices and chilli.
Don’t aspect great service as floor staff are usually young uni students half of them don’t even know the menu! But the manager is always at the till and she can attend to your tricky questions if need be.
Great food with a reasonable price. This place is a sure winner.

We had Hainanese Chicken Rice, Lo Bak and Roast Pork, Charsiew and Roast Chicken Rice. They were average — we had better in Perth.

Cheap dinner the individual portions for one person are mostly below the ten dollar mark with good sized serving. Im not too sure if they take bookings but this place is good for gatherings. Ambience wise theres not much but thats what hawkers is about: d. Really friendly service as well.
