Hello meats. Fine meats. Rows and rows of meats. For many years my friends and I have been getting our group BBQ meats from this joint. The good thing — the meat is so fresh. The great thing, they can slice up the big cuts for you, so if you are crazy enough to buy the big roll of a slab of prime rib, they will slice it thin or thick for you and your crazy barbeque buddies. They also have really nice lamb chops, and chicken wings. They come marinated in a variety of sauces so all you really have to do is buy it and chuck it on the crazy cooking meat machine called the barbeque. Great if you want bulk meat at super good prices, and I know there are a few Unilocalers out there who prefer a good cut of meat over the overpriced stuff you can get at a local butcher shop that glad wraps all their meat. This place is great and I hope they stick around… only the best for me!

It is a nice feeling buying meat from a butcher. I usually but it from a supermarket because it is so darn easy when I’m already there. I get a nice warm fuzzy feeling when I buy from a butcher I think because I like the concept of supporting local businesses. The Super Butcher at Birkdale is only slightly out of my way home from work so I really have no excuse for not going there more often. They have all sorts of beef like grassed fed, black angus and high grade from all over Australia. The staff know their stuff too which is really helpful if you are like me, and don’t know much about meat at all. The quality is great and if you buy in bulk, the value is excellent. I like to stock up on chicken and mince and then freeze a whole bunch. It can last me for weeks.
