This place is always busy and with good reason. The food is fresh and tasty, reasonably priced and each dish comes out as soon as it’s been cooked. It’s byo so you can grab a couple of bottles of Asahi or Kirin to enjoy with your meal.

A great selection of noodles /rice dishes. Very good service and most importantly, the ramen tastes good with reasonable price. Will definitely go again.

Joining my friend on their search for Sydney’s Ultimate Ramen we dashed out of shopping at westfield to have some lunch here. I had a stock standard, teriyaki chicken don, which was pretty tasty, especially with a shake of the chili salt on the table. Reports on the ramen was that it was good, if not remarkable. But we both agreed we’d be back. Service was fast and friendly, from the other reviews it looks like this is a popular place, and from overhearing the table next to us, it seems to have a fair whack of regulars.

Ramen Kan is a cheap and cheerful noodle house that does a roaring trade every night of the week. Always full with people queuing outside, this place is supremely popular. I was super excited to try this place out but kind of found it all a little underwhelming. An intimate restaurant this is not. You’re practically sitting on the table next to you, it’s loud and busy and impossible to ignore the dirty looks from people waiting for tables who are silently urging you to finish up and move on. As far as japanese noodle bars go I am assured it is quite authentic in offering good value, tasty ramen. The food came quickly and it was filling and reasonably priced. Make no mistake it’s basic noodles but it’s basic food at its best.

You know a place is good when the queue wraps around the corner, and it looks like people are camping for the new iPhone. If you’re a hard core foodie, and love some spicy, saucy, and delicious Ramen to fill your belly the come on down(Thanks Larry). The vibe is great, busy and loud, but deliciously tasty, and not over priced for this area. The service could be a bit quicker, but they do have to serve a huge amount of people in a little dingy kitchen, it’s understandably a bit slow. The homely feel, is cosy and warm, with small tables and chars squeezed into tiny corners, so if you get a bit claustrophobic, maybe bring a brown paper bag to breathe into. Try the noodles for sure, and if you’re the more adventurous type, get something which isn’t correctly translated into English — it’s always a good surprise.
