This is definitely THE best authentic Vietnamese food in Box Hill, bar none. The rare beef phở is exceptional. The beef is always fresh, thinly sliced, tender and plentiful. An absolute bargain at $ 11 for a medium size serve. Other dishes are equally pleasing. Unbelievably fine vermicelli chicken, excellent rice paper rolls and brilliant Vietnamese pancake. Simple décor with friendly staff and fast service. My weekly Viet hit!

This could b a case of YMMV! This place is one of the worse phở joints I have ever encountered. The soup base was high in MSG and bland. Absolutely no beef broth /​phở taste! I think I can do a better job on my off day and without trying! beef slices were thick. The whole thing lacked authenticity!!! also had the springrolls. My god don’t bother! 10 s/​rolls came with 3 pieces of lettuce. No herbs! The fish sauce lacked everything u can think of and high in vinegar. These guys can’t even get the basics right. I wonder how they stay in business!

Hands-​down, this place offers the best tasting phở broth in Box Hill.
The right spices are present, with a good amount of salt. It’s mostly brown onion used here with a few slices of red to add a touch of sweetness. Quantity of beef given was fair and the meat was properly raw, allowing the heat of the broth to cook it through.
They also offer other dishes on the menu as well as drinks.

It’s not a Phở place I would rave about but it’s close to home and it’s definitely above your average Phở place — am I selling this place to you yet?
Our usual order consists of Rice Paper Rolls, Spring Rolls and Phở. One of the better Phở places in the Eastern suburbs!

The phở here is good — I’m addicted to the rare beef phở! Popular, fairly large restaurant… basic surroundings and lighting, but doesn’t matter because it’s all about enjoying the phở, and I don’t know of anything comparable unless you go to Springvale or Richmond.
