40 min wait for«amazing» toast with barely an apology. Collectively there were like 8 other ppl in the café. If they forgot… thats fine. we are all human… but own up to it and have decent attempt at an apology or a refund in this case! Toast was good but perhaps focus a bit more on your customer service. Seems to be just another pretentious Paddington café.

I loved this place as soon as I saw it, Atticus Finch is charming, has a cool fit-out and is dog friendly. They even go as far as providing free dog biscuits to their canine patrons. We ate breakfast there alongside an Italian greyhound(not ours, but I wanted to give her a squeezy hug) recently on a weekend. Their coffee comes from Coffee Supreme(which has just absorbed Brisbanes Cup Coffee) and I have just two words here that will blow your mind: Coffee Soda. Yup — coffee paired with soda water(and sweetened slightly) is just the most refreshing summer beverage ever. The iced latte was pretty awesome too. The breakfast menu is pretty simple but very pretty and done well. We had Savoury Mince on toast which was a concoction of beef mince, mushrooms and beans and topped off with a BBQ aioli, parmesan and poached egg — very satisfying. Our other breakfast dish was the Warm Malted semolina with rhubarb, poached pear, pistachios, yoghurt, honey and cardamom… which was like a warm hug in a bowl and kept me full all day. great coffee, plus they love doggys = WIN

Customer service was good, very friendly. Cute little café. However it is fairly small, couldn’t get a proper seat so had to sit on a small chair facing the coffee machine. Had a soy chai latte was a little weak for my liking and took 30 minutes to finally get my breakfast… Toast with peanut butter. Really. Didn’t get an apology for the ridiculous wait for a slice of toast. I remained friendly but wasn’t too happy about that. To be fair, they were very busy(Sunday late morning).

This place really hits the hospitality thing on the head. Every time I go here I feel like I’m visiting a friends place. They tell me to go take a seat on the deck and not think about a thing and if you need anything just holler. When my drink runs low a friendly face is always there to provide a refill. This is the type of place to bring a book and just chill for a while. The number one reason I love this place is for the bottomless cup of single origin supreme filter coffee. That’s right bottomless! Firstly it’s delicious, secondly its bottomless and the staff here are super attentive so your cup is always being refilled. The second reason I love this place is they have complimentary sparkling water. Third reason the food. Great options for breakfast, lunch or snack. The menu is reasonably priced and the portions are a great size. It’s the kinda place you leave feeling satisfied(Not to full or not still hungry). Other important things to note. They have free wifi, a bathroom and are super dog friendly!

Lovely little spot … delicious quinoa, miso, and salmon salad(a fav of mine) but very limited menu. Friendly staff as well as dog friendly.

A beautiful little café with so much charm! Atticus Finch is the type of café you go to for breakfast when you’ve got a lunch to go to as well. The food is tasty, fresh and different and the portions are just right, not so big that you feel over-full when you walk out the door but just big enough that you’re satisfied. I had the roast vegetable toastie. It was incredibly tasty! The outside was golden brown and the inside was hot all the way through, just the way the a toasted sandwich should be. The simple menu and the understated décor means that you can get breakfast and a coffee for under $ 20. An absolute rarity among Brisbane breakfasts. A paddington gem, I will definitely return.

It’s liking sitting on your back deck with your dog(yep, they’re a café that welcomes your four-legged friend), having a cup of coffee or tea and letting the Autumn sun wash over you. Or at least that’s what my first visit to Paddington’s newest resident, Atticus Finch, felt like. While there wasn’t a Gregory Peck look-a-like to be seen, there was an easy-to-drink flat white made on Supreme Roast beans and a cumin roast chicken, caramalised onion and cheese toasted sandwich to while the time away. Both I’d order again. Even on a Friday mid-afternoon the café’s outside deck seating area was at capacity — surely a great sign for a newly established business. The service during our visit was attentive and akin to being welcomed to a friend’s home for a meal. A woman(I’m deducing she is the owner) delivered a jar of dog biscuits and asked if it was okay if she gave one to our furball. His eyes lit up and the biscuit was devoured no sooner did we nod and say, «Sure.» It is counter service and menus are at the counter. It’s a simple menu — toasted sandwiches, cakes and salads. This isn’t a bad thing. It makes ordering simple, there’s no decision overload and the items are freshly made. It’s a menu that, is easily made in the small kitchen at the back of the café. Parking can be a bit tricky on this stretch of Latrobe Terrace(it’s where VitaLife used to be and across the road from the Nepalese restaurant) so either grab the CityGlider or park further up Enoggera Terrace and walk down to the café.
