Best place for that slice of pizza on the way home from a night out in the city. Plenty of choices and best part you can buy one slice which suits people like me who could not eat an entire pizza on her own.

Who said there’s no nutrition in oily, thin crusts pizzas? On many past occasions, a New York Slice pepperoni and mushroom pizza provided me with energy to navigate home after a drunken night out instead of keeling over at a city bus stop. My only complaint about the Queen St franchise is that it shuts too early on a Friday and a Saturday night to catch all the late night boozers. Who knows though — perhaps they’re trying to re-brand themselves as a healthy lunching option with their $ 8.50 salad combo. Ha! Be warned. This place will never make a great lunching or dinner option but eaten in the right frame of mind, that is so drunk that your taste buds are numb and you’ve lost the ability to reason, there’s nothing better than a New York Slice.

It can sometimes be hard to judge New York slice because it is both good and bad. If you think that makes no sense then hear me out. It is good when you have had a big night out and stumble past New York slice deciding that all of a sudden you are starving and that only pizza will do. For this circumstance i think that New York Slice is perfect. I like the almost anything from them at this point but if they have any left its gotta be pepperoni. On the other hand though i have tried them on lets just say a normal day and i was not really impressed. I then realized that it was so greasy that the paper plate it came on was practically see through and the flavor was pretty average too. For this reason i think i will be back but only after a night out.

Who hasn’t stumbled across the Fortitude Valley New York Slice in a drunken state? You can probably tell what you are going to expect from this place by the name; New York style pizza, thin based and cute slices. Now with three stores in Brisbane, New York Slice is expanding their greasy, greasy goodness for all to enjoy. The Queen Street takeaway is one of my favourite stops when I’m feeling like I’ve had enough of shopping and need a big, carb-laden slice of pepperoni. One of the only places in Brisbane that actually sell pizza by the slice, they taste great and are MASSIVE. One slice is enough to suffice the average person’s hunger, although you can order an entire pizza if you need to impress a crowd. If you like pizza, try it. If you miss New York, try it(but be kind and don’t compare too harshly, they try!). If you’re drunk or hungover and sick of 2am kebabs, try it. If you’re on a diet, don’t try it.
