Passion tree is a great place to have dessert and coffee. After you ordered, they will give you a round shape disc(really don’t know how to describe it), you can find a seat by yourself, when the light on the disc flash, you can go and collect what you ordered. Both me and my friend ordered waffles, they were so yummy but also very rich(slightly too sweet). They looked so pretty. I could not finished the whole waffle by myself. Both of the banana and strawberry one taste good. The price for desserts are slight expensive. It is also a good place to have coffee that you can’t normally get in other coffee shop and the price for coffee is reasonable.

frozen yogurt was good, bingsoo was really big so make sure you have more than 4 people cause us 4 couldnt even finish it. the waffles are good but very sugar and there seems to have chunks of undissolved sugar in it.

Ive been here before a while ago… didn’t really left any impression on me the first time. Today I came with my brother following a Wednesday 2×1 waffle deal. OMG waffles were delish! Presentation was nice and clean. Coffee was smooth and creamy. Service was friendly and cheerful. I’ll be back for sure!

I love this place! Its where I come for all coffee needs. I’m not a basic coffee or espresso person, so I like to get green tea lattes. This is my FAVORITE place to get them! I have had their green tea latte about 5 times now and I am never disappointed. Plus their price is quite reasonable. All their prices are, except in my opinion: their macaroons. They’re really good tasting macaroons, but for the price I expect a little bit larger macarons. But I definitely recommend them and have gotten four different flavors. They have these giant ice cream sundae things that are HUGE. Like the largest sundaes I’ve ever seen. All the flavors are fruity and definitely to split. Don’t attempt it alone. It’s on my list to try one, just gotta find someone willing to attempt eating Mount Everest! It’s always popular, particularly with the Asian crowd. The employees are very polite and the drinks/food comes fast. They give you a buzzer when you order so you can pick it up when you’re ready. There’s tons of seating so I’m positive you’d never have an issue finding a seat here. The interior is jpop cute and they play mainstream pop. It’s a cool place, my only struggle is the internet. They have free internet but you have to check in to passion tree on Facebook and it lasts for thirty minutes. After the 30 minutes, reconnecting is a struggle. Overall I love this place and always find myself coming back. I recommend it to all my friends as they always ask where I get my yummy green tea lattes from.

Passion Tree is a great place to visit in the city. What always brings me back is their chai lattes, the milk is so creamy and just the right temperature(I haven’t tried their other hot drinks but I am sure the same goes for them). The Piña colada passion Soda is also refreshing, a nice alternative to a regular cold drink. The Honey bread is tasty and great to share with a friend. The wifi is a bonus and if you do need to charge your phone or work on your laptop you may be able to score a table next to a PowerPoint.

I love this place This was another place I’ve frequently walked past in the city and had never been to before. I only found out about this place through a friend of mine who had been here in the past and had a great time and said that we should go here which I’m glad I did. We both ordered the the passion tree honey bread(peanut butter and caramel) with hot chocolates to go with the meals. The honey bread was probably one of the best desserts I have had in a long time and I’m not usually fussed on Asian desserts that much so that won me over. Only thing I’m not a huge fan which I agree with Chris H’s review, is that a lot of these places just give you a buzzer and you come and collect it when it goes off which i think does get rid of that customer service relationship between the staff member and the customer. However in saying that it, I agree that it does put less pressure the front of house staff and more time getting the quality of the meals right for the customer. Overall it was a great first experience to Asian desserts and I would come back again in the future and would also recommend it to other people I know who happen to be in the city and need to go somewhere!

I dig this place, I really dig it. We wanted to kill some time in the city but weren’t super hungry so my friend suggest sharing something at Passion Tree. As I had never been before I was looking forward to trying something completely different. This place definitely caters to a younger Asian crowd and on any given weekday afternoon it’s buzzing with people kicking back after school and uni. The dining area is extremely spacious with extremely comfortable booths lining the walls. We ordered a Red Bean Bingsoo and a Passion Tree Honey Bread, both were amazing but not overpoweringly sweet, the Honey Bread with caramel was definitely my favorite part of the meal. There’s a number of different pastries, breads and macaroons in the cabinets adjacent to the counter also available for take away of dine in. As with a lot of dessert places in Brisbane there’s no table service so they hand you a buzzer for collecting your food and drinks when they’re ready. I’m not really a fan of this system although I agree that is speeds up service and puts less pressure on front of house staff. Overall an awesome experience and delicious food and I’ll definitely be back to try more!

Looks attractive! Got to see what they have! After passing this place for any times, I got a chance to meet up with a friend over a coffee and check out the facility. The desserts look so tempted but I didn’t get a chance to try this time. I ordered a Latte coffee. They handed us a buzzer for the order. That’s kinda cool. The coffee taste is not much different from other coffee shop, fairly standard. The décor and design look very urban but comfy where you can hang out and catch up with friends over a conversation. There are small section in the front, a row of table of two on the side in front of the order counter, and a big open space in the back. Definitely cater to younger crowd but it was noisy at all when I was there around 1pm weekday. I will go back to try those desserts!!! I live Asian desserts! Hey go check it out and tell me what dessert should I try.

I love it when something I’ve walked past so many times before, leaps out and surprises the heck out of me. Passion Tree did just that. I’d walked past so many times without ever venturing into this brightly lit, happy dessert café that, in the late afternoon, was bustling with busy conversation. I was here for a meeting and ordered a 70% dark hot chocolate. I had no expectations and was delighted at the quality of my hot chocolate. Not sweet, not too chocolaty — a Goldilocks«Just Right.» But here’s what will be bringing me back to Passion Tree(and in course the opportunity to sample more of their menu than just a hot chocolate — there’s a range of desserts, froyo and more) — they have complimentary WiFi. Meaning my laptop and I can have a hot date and enjoy the company of plenty of other CBD dwellers indulging their sweet tooth.

Yum! Delicious dessert and very good service! I’ve been here a few times to try their ice cream with snow and I had two very different experiences. The first time they used green tea frozen yogurt which didn’t taste good at all. The second time they used green tea ice cream which was delicious. I also ordered the strawberry flavored snow and it was quite good, filled with fresh strawberries and nuts. Overall, this place is pretty good and definitely worth a try if you have a sweet tooth for desserts.

Dessert is my THING. When I heard that Passion Tree has officially landed in the heart of the city, I was over the moon! Passion Tree, beside its decors, there are so many desserts… When I said ‘many’, there were a mix between Asian and Western! Westerns: macarons, cakes, bites, breads… Asian: Ice shaved, Froyo… Many coffees, teas, ice blended to choose from. This is probably the only place when you have macarons for your frozen yogurt! I had green tea passionccino(green tea frappé)…it’s a little too sweet for taste bulb. The ganache brownie was slightly hard in its texture. Probably it’s supposed to be in this texture in their dessert shop. Otherwise, this is a great outing with friends or your date after a city dinner!

Today, I returned to Passion Tree in hopes that their macarons are better than what other places in Brisbane has to offer. After much contemplation, I decided on the Yuzu, which is an Asian citrus fruit. It’s one that I do fancy — and while the flavor of the macaron was alright, the texture was just all wrong. It tasted like day-old macaron, and the filling wasn’t particularly great. I would give it a 3⁄5 — so my verdict doesn’t change there. Something worthy of note though, is that my friend got the coconut macaron, but to her dismay, it had a chocolate filling! The service was also really messy, as I noticed last time. There are too many cashiers, and they seem to get confused! My friend got her macaron on a plate, while I got mine in a bag(see below). Needless to say, we are not returning.

A new Asian dessert café that doesn’t have only one main option(chocolate vs churros — both not my thing!). It too opens late until 1am, 7 days a week and is in a convenient CBD location, right new to Elizabeth Arcade. There’s options of chocolate fondue(with healthy and unhealthy topping options), frozen yogurt, pastries, cakes and other delights! Drinks include a variety of hot or iced teas, coffee, frappucinos(passioncino). I tried the regular cookie and cream passioncino($ 5.50). It was sweet and the ice was blended well without chunks! The signage showed it topped with whipped cream which I wasn’t asked about and so mine came without it. Not that I mind but if you prefer it, you may have to ask for it. There’s a variety of pastry options which is self-serve from a glass cabinet. good range from $ 1 for tiny pastries up to $ 5. Depending on how hungry you are! There’s their famous Honey Bread which is $ 7. A slice of soft, sweet white bread warmed up and topped with honey, cinnamon and whipped cream. Decadent and not for the faint hearted! I went for the chestnut Danish. A delicious muffin sized ball of buttery pastry with roasted chestnuts and covered in a slightly caramelised sugary, not-too-sticky glaze. Perfect. I can’t wait to go back to satisfy my sweet-tooth cravings!

The mocha macaron was surprisingly delightful — moist with a crispy exterior, and full of coffee flavor. It didn’t taste artificial so an welcome find. My husband and I also shared bites of their GF ganache cookie which was moist. We also had my husband’s first green tea latte, which he liked — and of course as my foodie knowledge kicked in after several drinks out on the city, I ran my mouth on how it’s most likely made with matcha powder instead of the usual green tea leaves, blah blah blah. At the end of my lecture on the green tea latte, I exclaimed, yes indeed it’s great! It was a great find in the city, as my husband and I were just walking back to Riverside Ferry to catch one of the last rides on the CityCat and my eyes noticed the«naturally sweet» feature and sprinted across the road(which I must encourage that you should look both ways before doing so). Its space appears clean and well maintained, and looks like lots of room in the back as well. Prices are very reasonable — it was something like $ 4.50 for a large green tea latte, $ 2.50 for a big macaron(they have mini ones but looks like it’s for their fro yo). They also offer package deals for the macarons(eg 5 for $ 12 and so on). Did I mention frozen yogurt? Yep, they got it! They also have chocolate fondue, pastries, and bingsoo which are basically shaved ice with fruit — a Korean dessert. Would I come back? Most likely!
