Don’t do it. Just don’t it! You’re looking at your favourite deals site and you see VIP seating for a bargain price! Wow! And the show is so highly rated on TripAdvisor! Amazing! What a steal! Awkward for you when you out that not only is VIP seating the majority of the room, but it’s worse than the regular seating. You can only talk to your two best friends! No cross table talk for you. Wait, talking, at a show? Why yes. Because the«pre-show» takes up most of the time, and by gum you’ll want to talk for that. How else are you gonna deal with the awkwardness of the incredibly unfunny jokes? Read on friends read on. Let’s start with the food. It’s awful. «Luscious pork belly with Asian sauce». I’ve made this dish myself. It’s very easy to make. It comes out delicious and tender. Their’s was chewy and flavourless. Like… VERY chewy. Like the knives took ten seconds to cut each piece chewy. Microwaved pork for $ 100! YUM! Now the pre-show. All of the staff members here think they’re really funny. They’re so edgy and unconventional. They swear! They make fun of people! Wow. That’s about as edgy as my year 10 maths teacher… but when you start saying«you guys are really retarded at passing glassware» to your customers perhaps maybe you’ve lost the plot. Maybe. Also, they wait for all the food to be done before they start the pre-show…which itself is about an hour long. What is the pre-show? Well it’s 30 minutes of watching«secret» videos of the audience members being scared being played on loop. You get to watch you and your 200 best friends spilling champagne for 30 minutes. Awesome. Then another 30 minutes of «we don’t censor ourselves» RACISM! Wow! I loved the video of the Caucasian guy wearing a straw hat with fake buck teeth and thick round glasses. But don’t worry guys! It wasn’t racist. I’m just too PC. I mean, just because he was also making Kung Fu noises doesn’t mean it was racist, it was just an homage to the Asian martial arts! Very respectful. Now, after the amazing«Kamikaze Dave» intro, they start talking about where all the people in the audience have come from. This was the most inclusive part of the show! I mean they made like 12 Asian stereotypes and maybe 1 European one. Let’s see there was«the phillipinos in the room» where the guys on stage started making shrilling pulsing noises and waving their pinky finger. There was the Indian couple they pointed out in the audience«I can’t see anything but teeth» «man that was a dark joke». There were worse but I can’t remember all of the HILARIOUS jokes. Comedy gold. How about how they kept making fun of the appearance of famous women? Do these guys have a bone to pick or something? Why no famous men. Dunno. Why do they think Victoria Beckham is a bad mum??? Who knows! Why do they want her to smile more so badly? I’m sure she can smile whenever the heck she wants. I loved the slut jokes. I mean who doesn’t love a good slut joke when you’re watching a «high class vaudeville comedy show»(their advertising materials are funnier than the show itself, presenting it as a high class art experience, when it was really a mediocre acrobatics show, combined with an hour of racism). Okay enough of that. What about the actual show? Well there was some okay but not mind blowing aerials stuff. Cool. Okay. Then some bizarre feed the horse song… which the Internet tells me was written by the«Fagget Fairies»? I don’t even know how to end this review. Save your money. Lie on the beach and get a nice tan. But wear sunscreen cause this is oz and that sun’ll get you real good ay.

A brilliant experience all-round. The horror theme, the performers, the show AND the 3-course dinner were all fantastic. The show is ribald, racy and funny, you’ll be laughing and clapping the whole time. The food is great, but you only get to choose your main(5 dishes IIRC), I guess to save time. The entrée was a quiche and the dessert of mouse in a chocolate coffin especially good. I chose chicken wrapped in bacon for my main, I didn’t like discovering lemon and rosemary stuffed in it but otherwise it was good. Hard to see what you’re eating in the dim light anyhow! I’m guessing they make their main money on the cocktails, I had two $ 16.50 ones but a lot of people got a «fishbowl»(massive glass of booze) $ 45 to get you through the entire 4.5hr experience. If you can afford it, I’d recommend buying VIP seats to avoid being heckled.

Attended draculas on New Year’s Eve 2014, meals were good, wouldn’t say great but made up for it in atmosphere and performance, the talent was phenomenal and the use of themed drinks and themed resteraunt was by far the best I have been too, the small ride on the ghost train and showing the video was a great addition to the night, it’s a must do!

The entire night including the show, actors, décor and food was an amazing experience. The entrée was really tasty, a beautiful pie. As a main I chose the vegetarian kofta balls for something different, my partner had the pork belly and my brother had the chicken. Everyone was impressed with their meals. Desert was presented in a small chocolate coffin, baci mousse and a dob of cream, very rich but nice. The food was brought out promptly and well timed through out the night. The drinks menu was amazing, plenty to choose from. Definitely an experience like no other

We saw a special for tickets to Dracula’s and decided to book them! The special was buy one get one half off. If you’re interested in going, see if there are any ticket specials. Dracula’s is definitely a once in a lifetime experience. The workers were all dressed up and had a persona. They all tried to scare/freak people out in some way. They were loud and crazy but they made the experience very enjoyable. I don’t do well with scary things so I was scared the whole time while we were lining up. Oh yeah… ARRIVEEARLY if you want restaurant parking! Once we entered into the building, we were directed to the bar. There were a lot of people ordering drinks at the bar. They had some sort of cocktail called Spider Lash(I think that’s what the name was called) that sounded good. Our group didn’t want to get any drinks because we didn’t want to spill anything on the ghost train ride. In order to get into the restaurant, we had to ride the ghost train. Before getting on the ride, they made everyone take a picture. If you wanted to buy the picture you could. Our group opted out on the picture. Throughout the train ride I had my eyes closed! I was terrified! When we got off the train, we were directed to the hostess. The hostess checked our tickets/reservation and then we got seated. The restaurant was smaller than I expected it to be. It wasn’t a big venue. It was pretty intimate. Our waitress’ name was Poison. She was very nice and very helpful! We were given a three course meal; entrée, main and dessert. The entrée that we had was some sort of quiche. For the main, you had an option to choose from a list. I chose the lamb shanks. The lamb shanks tasted good and it fell right off the bone; however, it was HUGE. I tried my friend’s coconut crusted fish and it was delicious! I should have gotten that instead. For desert, we had some sort of chocolate mousse in a chocolate coffin. My boyfriend got the spider lash drink(the one that I mentioned earlier) in a sour version. It was pretty good; not too much alcohol taste. The only thing that I didn’t like about the experience was the show. I was pretty disappointed. The show consisted of mostly singing and dancing. There were comedic skits here and there. The comedic skits were pretty funny. I really liked the guy who kept head banging! Overall, I enjoyed my time at Dracula’s; however, I don’t think I would come here again.

Ok, I am officially back in Australia and returned to Dracula’s…years after my first visit and I still love it. Different show — same idea. I could easily go every time they have a new show. It’s fun, it’s funny & the girls are hot(I’m not even a lesbian) and they have some killer cocktails. The food is decent, not great — but I think it’s the same at other dinner & show venues. Love the pre show cover band. Overall it’s a must see. Go check it out — definitely something to shake up the routine.

WOW! I had heard Dracula’s was great, but it blew me away! From the moment you arrive the staff are in character. They joke around, mess with you and try their best to scare you and make you feel slightly uncomfortable, but without taking it too far. Once inside the place is amazing! The attention to detail is what really did it for me! Everything was just right! Then there was the meal. I really couldn’t complain! Portion sizes were fair and everything was cooked well. The wait staff were all involved and in character further adding to the atmosphere. The only thing that I would have changed was being able to have my beef cooked to my liking(it’s cooked to medium), however having worked in hospitality I understand the limitations with serving such large sittings in such a limited time. Then there was the show. This was what really WOW’d me! For a cast of only seven performing in such a small area it really blew me away. Their ingenious use of space and timing, in addition to audience participation proved for a truly entertaining evening. It really was testament to high calibre of the cast, crew and production team! I also LOVED the costumes! What for me really took the night from a 4.5 star to 5 star evening was Pixie our waitress for the night. She was great! When asked if our drinks were on their way(as they seemed to be taking a little while) she quickly returned saw to it that we got them ASAP and then took them off our bill! Not expected at all, but really left an impression! I honestly cannot rate Dracula’s highly enough!

Be sure not to drive if you enjoy cocktails. This place does some amazing drinks. We had their Jell-O shots which come in a needle shaped device. Also their transfusion cocktail which comes in a blood bag like at the hospital. But their selection was hard to refuse. The meals were great and the whole atmosphere of this place is amazing! Be sure to try it!

My Aussie friends took me here. This place is a bit weird. First it’s called draculas, and second, it’s on hooker st, lol anyways, we got here, ps(I spent 150.00) but I got in VIP, with snacks and since I was American, the staff was cracking jokes, raunchy but funny jokes. You MUST have a sense of humor to enjoy with place, it’s a mixture of rock of ages type drag rock tune musical and disneys haunted mansion. The staff is talented. I had a front row seat, it was nice and a weak margarita. Ill be honest, it’s a one of a kind show. Go check it, then go to a strip club down the street, the ladies are lookers!
