We had dinner at Sage on a Saturday night. Didn’t have a reservation and it was quite busy, but we got seated straight away outside. The service was okay, I’ve rated more on the food than service. Our orders were taken fairly quickly and food came out promptly as well. We did ask for water which was never brought out. My husband had to go up to the bar to get it. We also sat for ages after we’d finished our meal and no one cleared our plates. When we left, everything was still there. Our garlic bread was tasty and 4 pieces in the serve which was perfect!(You can never have too much!!) The pizzas came out piping hot and both were delicious. I’d definitely go back for the food. The wine is fairly expensive though which was the only downside.

Terrible place. The service is unenthusiastic. The meals were underwhelming with packet sauces, oily calamari and dry meat. I won’t come back. Don’t eat here and go elsewhere

Really bad experience with a manager that ruined an otherwise lovely meal. This restaurant provides a discount via the iVenture card which they then refused to honor. It’s not about the discount, just really shady business practice, bait and switch. Manager could easily have made it right, but chose to talk to us really condescendingly, treating us poorly because we used a discount they chose to offer. This guy should not be in a manager role, esp. In a service business. Disputed the charge with Visa. Really sad. AVOID.

This café bar is a previous winner of many awards. I found it strangely intimate and a very nice place to spend time at. Originally found this place in that little book on Gold Coast every hotel seems to have with ads and vouchers. My wife and I came here to relax and enjoy each other’s company and needed a place that respected that but kept us fed and watered. It is not cheap but the pricing was not over the top compared to you food quality. We had entrees and the a share platter that had Seafood, Steak, Pork, Chicken and Chips with a salad. The Seafood included prawns, smoked salmon, fish, oysters and bugs. They have an awesome range of pizza and other varied menu items. To follow this local beer on tap, cocktails, wines and soft drinks galore . After all this they offer discounts for arriving before certain times(contact them for details) and an incredible service. Service was smart, responsive and friendly.

Food was good but over priced. Dine between 5 – 6 and get 40% off(what should be its normal prices). I enjoyed the ribs. $ 30.00 salad was not great. kids sizes where small for 5 – 10 year olds.

Maybe because the night before we had our worst dinner ever but we loved everything we tried at Sage and we were really hungry after 10 hours of intense training. The location was cool and it was really busy

Summary: great service, good food. We visited Sage with four adults and four kids got a birthday dinner, and it was just what we needed. Arriving just before six, we ordered within 10 minutes, and the food arrived about 20 minutes later. We enjoyed good sizes pizzas that were tasty, but perhaps not to the degree that their multiple awards suggest. The salt and pepper calamari was described as melt in the mouth. Having had appalling service at a competing venue yesterday Sage was a welcome relief. It’s nice to leave a healthy tip for service because it was just worth it. There are good deals if you order before. 6pm, but pizzas are not included on the discount deal. Recommended.

Last weekend we had lunch Sage on Saturday at 12pm. The place was pretty chill not very busy(how I like it) The staff was very professional. All our food came out in good time. I really enjoyed the seafood liguine and the banoffee dessert pizza– DELICIOUS

We stayed at a local hotel through which we purchased vouchers at Sage. The first few days we noticed that the portions were quite slow, and took a long time to prepare(30 minutes for a fruit bowl). However the last day took the cake. People in our group were waiting upwards of an hour for the breakfast, then when it arrived the bacon was cold, the bread was soaked in butter. The food was simply terrible and we ended up walking out after 90 minutes without breakfast. The remainder of the prepaid vouchers were thrown away because who wants to wait 90 minutes for an uneatable breakfast?
