This sushi train chain is pretty much like every other one. Unfortunately most of the different dishes end up tasting the same as each other but the spicy chicken was a stand out as was the quality of the salmon sashimi at this particular outlet. My biggest disappointment was buying takeaway for two, including two drinks and mentioning my other half and they only gave me one set of chopsticks and wipes. Kinda awkward when your in a hotel with no cutlery and it’s a 10 minute walk back. Plus they gave me enough condiments for 4 people! Not a destination restaurant but does at a pinch of you feel like sushi for a casual meal.

AVOID. Not very welcoming anymore, No longer children friendly! We used to visit regularly and besides our meals, we always order a small piece of plain chicken, grilled or on a stick(like skewer), for my young boy, big smiles — «no problem.» NOTANYMORE! Whatever we ask for, the answer is always NO — NO They either cannot be bothered to ask the cook, do not understand English very well and it’s easier for the waiter to say no? We asked someone else with better understanding of English and got a different reply: «yes, I’ve asked cook but its $ 10!» (for a tiny serve of plain chicken the side of one of their sushi serves)! They definitely got too big for their shoes!

Not impressed. They did offer a variety of dishes a significant cut above your average sushi train… if you like fried chicken and beef served 85 different ways in rolls. The rice was TERRIBLE. Clearly no idea how to prepare sushi at all. It was like they used packet rice, rinsed it in water and closed their eyes and wished it might stick together. It did, for about 1 seconds before completely crumbling apart before it could be eaten. Everything was overly gooey, warm, uninspired — about 85% of what went around(and around and around) was some version of something cooked, and I’m not kidding about the fried chicken. It was in EVERYTHING. They didn’t even have the basics here to be ordered! Ick. Bad job, guys. Yes, this place is popular but I have no idea why. It is bad, bad, bad.

Like the previous review said, this is one of the better sushi trains on the Coast. The takoyaki is good, nigiri fresh, udon noodle soup comes in half serves and is gooooood. Can get busy in peak times, so either be prepared to wait or get take away. Fun Fact: wasabi, mayo & teriyaki sauce all comes in individual serves

I’m a bit of a sushi train fanatic so have been to nearly all of the stations on the Gold Coast and Brisbane and I have to say this one is one of the better ones. Very large, comfortable space– you’re not all squished in unlike some of the other, plenty of booths and chairs to go round which means the wait times are often short. The staff are super attentive and the sushi on the train is always very fresh plus a great selection. I love the spicy wagyu beef roll, the spicy chicken and the aburi salmon! This stop is also good because they serve beer and sake :) The only downside is the access, the main road makes it tricky to get in and out sometimes.

Worst sushi train I have been to. Everything tasted different from ours in sydney. Service was slow and bad. Teriyaki chicken meal taste like process chicken. The batter used on the calamari was yuk. The carrot and asparagus used in the tempura was undercooked and chewy. The only thing that tasted normal was the salmon nigiri.
