Red Wheelbarrow Books

Really clean and organised and has the good old second hand bookshop smell. I was looking for an anthology for school knowing nothing about poetry the staff were really helpful and I ended up getting more than I expected. The books are pricier than other second hand bookstores but they’re all quality books

I think this bookshop is a very very good one! I went in there the other day looking for some specific books and genres. They had some of the titles I wanted but what was more impressive was that the bloke behind the counter went out of his way to help me and give me some leads to other people I may be able to talk to about the topic of my research. He did this despite having company there with him. I wont forget this type of service in a hurry.
As for the shop itself, it has a fairly large selection of books (not massive but sufficient) and seems to have quality rather than quantity. Unlike a lot of second hand bookshops it isnt stuffy and there is a lot of space for browsing and there is light coming in from the windows and its easy to find things without having to squeeze into tiny spaces. That said, it still has some of that classical second hand bookshop charm with the obligatory pet (in this case it was a little dog in a basket next to the sales desk — as opposed to a cat which is more standard).
I had a good chat with the guy working there, found the quality of books very good and the atmosphere of the shop nice. I will certainly be going back there! 5 stars!!!
