This small dance school specialises in styles that don’t require you to kick-ball-change or evoke spirit in your fingers. What initially started out as a place to learn burlesque and pole dancing has now grown to include classes such as intermediate classical ballet, 80s-inspired dance exercise, cabaret, go-go, African-inspired ‘booty’ dance and stretch classes. Most classes are run as 8-week courses(prices vary but most are around the $ 170 mark) but you can also attend classes in burlesque and pole choreography as a casual. I’ve tried pole and burlesque here and they’re both really fun classes led by teachers who are very experienced and seem to understand that people who come to their establishment do so not just to learn a skill, but also to have a few laughs. if you’re shy, or you know your moves are too hot for most people to witness, you can book a private class, or you can get a group of friends together and book a ‘party’ class.
