From its opening I have only heard rave reviews regarding Paddock Bakery. Set up inside a cute, low set, old Queenslander-style house and surrounded by a beautiful garden there is a reason why this café is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike! Fair warning– parking is tough! If you’re coming during the holiday season or on a weekend be prepared to drive around for a while. Trust me though– it is worth the frustration! If it is a nice day, try and sit at one of the outside tables. The fruit trees and general loveliness is a beautiful setting whilst catching up with friends over the delicious fare served at Paddock. If you can’t snag one of these OR if it is a little chilly/raining the interior is just as delightful and smells incredible too! The menu is varied but not too overwhelming– I ordered the Toad in the Hole and was blown away by how ridiculous such a simple dish could taste! The thick cut bacon really sealed the deal for me… I just kept wanting more of it! Probably my favourite breakfast/brunch spot on the whole Gold Coast from now on and, believe me, I have tried them all!

Absolutely love this place! Everything about this place is great. The food is amazing, the outdoor setting provide a lovely relaxing atmospheric and the staff are happy abd friendly. Their eggs are always perfectly cooked and their muffins are to die for! I would highly recommend the strawberry and white chocolate muffin. If you are looking for a great brunch spot to head to with your friends this is the place for you! One of my favourite brunch spots on the Gold Coast.

The best. Worth the drive. And the queue. We drive down for an hour once a month. A highlight of the day trip

I love this place, it’s like your eating breakfast in someone’s backyard, you forget where you are. I had the scrambled eggs which was delicious, not the best I’ve ever had but still great. I was so tempted to grab a bunch of their incredible looking baked goods on my way out but I didn’t give in! the coffee was also pretty good I had a flat white, the Gold Coast is definitely maturing when it comes to good coffee and breakfast places.

You will love it here. Great menu friendly busy staff. You may have to park and walk to this place but we’ll worth it. And you will probably stand in line to order again worth the wait. In and outside tables and the coffee is served in a real cup. I hate paper unless I am on the go and think it is lazy to not be given a choice.

Paddock bakery has got to be the best café we’ve been to in Gold Coast! We dropped by on a Sunday and the café was packed. We read the reviews beforehand and knew their Croissant and Cruffin was a must-try. Turns out it certainly was! We love it here!

My instagram feed has been saturated with pictures from Paddock Bakery and I can definitely see why. They are very insta worthy. Housed in an old Queenslander in Burleigh is this delightful bakery churning out some of the best breakfasts I’ve ever seen. They have a fresh, vibrant menu PLUS a baked goods cabinet that shakes up its selection each day. You’ve got the choice of indoor or outdoor seating but I recommend outdoor. Most of the tables are situated under trees meaning even on the hottest of days you’ll have a shady seat to enjoy your meal. Relive your childhood and try their grown up version of dippy eggs. Served with sourdough soldiers, crispy bacon bits, labne and parsley it’s a classy throwback. If runny eggs aren’t your thing(shame on you!) you can grab the beetroot laden purple toast, bacon and egg roll on wood fired sourdough, acai bowls topped with their signature home made granola and fresh fruit or grab a donut if you want to go all american. Being the indecisive jerk that I am, I got two breakfast so I wouldn’t have to deal with the regret of trying only one of the two that I wanted. As such, I can personally vouch for the dippy eggs AND the acai bowl. And because I had to make a second lunchtime trip I can also vouch for the pork, fennel and pistachio sausage roll and the cauliflower salad with cranberries and seeds. All you coffee lovers out there, don’t fear that my review is yet to mention the good stuff. I had one of the best iced lattes of my life here and by all accounts their fresh pressed juices aren’t half bad either. Detour here the next time you stop by the markets. You won’t regret it.

Went here after seeing some good reviews, needless to say I was less than impressed with what was said to be one of the best bakeries. I get they are going for a theme but would it kill them to use something that resembles cutlery I don’t like being served my overpriced eggs in the carton they were Brought in. Then to finish of with a stale donut while the flavours where good the texture wasn’t… I would not recommend this to anyone

You wouldn’t expect to find a super cute café slash wood-fire bakery in the industrial back streets of Miami, yet Paddock Bakery is there and by all accounts on this Saturday morning, a quaint spot for locals. Stopping in for an early breakfast, the waft of fresh baked bread fills this converted cottage. It’s counter service and once you order you’re given a wooden spool as your table number. While my inner-child wanted to order the fairy bread, I opted for the much more responsible dippy eggs(soft-boiled eggs with soldiers) which came in an egg carton and included labna, bacon and parsley. A well balanced and light start to the day. Paired with a coffee made on their house blend beans — I was a happy camper. This is another in the new age of the«Gold Coast» and a great spot to stop and smell the roses if you happen to be in the area.

This is a really lovely place to go for breakfast/Lunch. You can watch the people working away in the bakery while you wait in line to order. They have sweet treats in the counter window and make quite a good coffee. It’s definitely a good place to go with friends to catch up over a meal, or just a muffin. It’s mostly outdoor seating, but they don’t let dogs in the gate, so don’t plan on having your pet with you.

I have heard a bit about this place from friends and decided to check it out. As expected finding a car park on the street was difficult for the morning crowd. My first impression was how different the atmosphere was — simple and relaxing. There was fresh OJ, muffins and donuts of different flavors to try. What caught my eye on the menu was the Carrot Cake Porridge which, of course, I ordered. It was great and so was the coffee. I will definitely be coming back.

This place opened up and was an instant whirlwind — crowded from go. I think they are best known for their fresh sourdough, but they have a nice small breakfast selection. I had the dippy eggs with«soldiers» …not exactly sure what they called it. It was presented in such a clever and cute way in a cardboard egg container that would have held 6 eggs — it comes with 2 eggs and then they give you some herbed butter in one spot, bits of diced up bacon in another and some micro herbs the other side has your perfectly sliced up bits of bread to dip in your eggs. Totally delicious! I wish I had got a sweet treat as well, I’ve heard they do some sort of banana/nut bread that’s really good. If I’m down on the coast again I’d definitely try to stop by!

Nice quaint bakery. Could be amazing, but falls short. Pros: Fresh ingredients Beautiful space Plenty of seating and parking Cons: Prices do not parallel the quality of their food and coffees Poor customer service Limited menu

Upon arrival, you will realise just how popular this place really is. It’s not easy finding a car park, but sometimes you do get lucky(we did). It was on our second visit that I decided to indulge in a Large Iced Coffee and some Salad. We also ordered A Doughnut, and a lovely Pastrami Sandwich. The coffee was perfect, not too strong but with just enough kick so that it doesn’t disappear in the milk and ice. And thats also another nice thing… the fact that it tastes perfect, without the extra ice-cream and sugar(don’t get me wrong i love a scoop of ice-ceram and a dash of vanilla extract just as much, but it is a nice change). The salads, of which i tried two, were also rather tasty. I am rather fond of most things Roasted Pumpkin and Spinach related, and it is one of those salads that is becoming readily available, but this one THIS exact one was… I’m pretty sure one of the best i’ve had so far. I say this because, not only could you taste the lovely roasted-ness of the pumpkin but you could actually see the rosemary on the pumpkin… and for some reason it makes me feel so much better… like it really really did get roasted the way someone who loves roasting would roast pumpkin… DID I SAYROASTENOUGH??? The rest of the salad was also exemplary. The place itself has a wonderful atmosphere, you instantly feel welcomed, as if to a friends house, where you can, if you so desire, spend hours just relaxing and taking it all in. Possibly undertaking some PeopleWatching. I think it has something to do with the salvaged wooden furniture and the native flowers(inside). Also the Doughnut was Delicious… Fluffy and mmmmm give me more. Oh but be warned, the salad, sandwich, doughnut and two iced coffees did set us back $ 35. Soooo, it’s not cheap. But worth it if you’re after something to treat yourself with. Get in early if you want one of their rather popular cruffins or doughnuts.
