Fresh, fresh, fresh and full of flavour. My friends and I met here last night travelling from three different areas of Sydney. We had heard that this restaurant was an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and that the food was delicious. We were not disappointed. We made a booking, thankfully, and in an area that has many asian restaurants we could see which restaurants were very popular. This restaurant was and had a quick turnover of happy and full customers. The order was placed and within no time our hot steamy dishes arrived. My favourite was«Morning Glory» green beans cooked in garlic and spinach. Green tea was flowing and we must have had at least 6 pots of tea during the time we were eating. The waitress was very helpful yet not intrusive. The restaurant was extremely clean and well managed. The kitchen itself can be seen by the customers and the manner of the chefs was impressive. The price wasn’t cheap but the quality was excellent.

I love my little outings to cabramatta for amazing Vietnamese food and some sugar cane juice to top it off. The menu options at Bau Truong are plentiful will traditional dishes from curries, phos, rice paper rolls and amazing rice combinations. The staff here are lovely, very attentive and always smiling. The food is served quickly and the portions are large. We had the goat curry with rice, which was aromatic with tender meat and the combination broken rice. Defiantly worth a visit!

Love this place! I drive over an hour to go to this place for their famous goat or beef curries(goat curry is my favourite with no jelly and with a bread roll on the side — try it — trust me)!!! Their avocado drink is amazing too(I usually get one to take home with me after the meal as well) and the service is good. Food comes out quick and fresh. It’s also reasonably priced. If I was to be super fussy, I would only say parking is difficult(not their fault) and I wish they accepted eftpos(unfortunately they are cash only).

I thought the menu was huge, then I realised I was only looking at one side. I had missed venison, crocodile(all together now — «tastes like chicken») scampi and about 4,000 other dishes. By the time I’d finished the reverse side of the menu the restaurant had closed. Came back the next day and ordered the first thing I saw — BBQ calamari. I have eaten a thousand calamari dishes, its a favourite, but nothing I have ever had comes close to this. Tender flavoursome smoky squid with chilli, BBQ(hoisin?) sauce pickled carrots and salad. Before I could stop myself I’d eaten the lot and not had a mouthful of the rice that came with it. You could eat here every day for a year and not have the same thing twice — and I for one would like to try.

Love the food here. It’s good quality and presented well. Only downside is how noisy the restaurant is even when half empty.

This place has one of the most extensive menu’s I’ve ever seen… and for Vietnamese food no less. Who would have thought Vietnamese food is more than just Phở, Banh Mi, Spring/Egg Rolls, Vermicelli, and some Pork Chop/Rice dishes? Came with a group of friends at the behest of our local Vietnamese foodie Paul… and damn this place is good! Considering how busy it was, service was swift, a huge variety of dishes were available, BYO, and there was so much tasty goodness. I’ve been to Vietnam and I didn’t even realise how many different dishes there are. We ordered the Caramelised Pork Belly, Caramelised Fish, Morning Glory, some soup dishes, Crispy Chicken, and other things I don’t recall because I was too busy eating. Great place for general Vietnamese food in Cabramatta if you want Vietnamese and don’t just want Phở or Spring Rolls.

Great food and service. Prawn paste with taro, crispy skin chicken with plum dipping sauce and the venison with apple and chilli salad were the stand outs. Wait… one more the scampi in fish sauce wow ! Super cheap and the food was fresh and just delicious.

Pretty tasty, delicious Vietnamese food. There are heaps of things on the menu. Came here with the family on a Sunday afternoon. There were about 12 of us, so we ordered quite a bit. My cousin Jenny is like the food queen, so we left the ordering to her. Some standouts were these beef dishes served in the crispy chip, not sure what it was called. The chili squid was also really yummy. Tried a bit of the Phở and it was tasty. Everything was pretty good.

Great Vietnamese food, genuine cabramatta stylings(ok, it’s just your normal cheap, functional furniture in a big open space) The menu is ridiculously huge, and then you turn it over and there’s a matching enormous selection on the back. Good luck choosing what to eat from that menu! I’d recommend the various rice paper roll combos for groups, they’re fun and tasty.
