After a recent name change and reworked menu, Il Birrificio still produces good quality wood fired pizza, as well as pastas and things like fried calamari and arancini balls. They have tables at the back of the room as well as outside, but the vibe is still ‘take away’. If you do eat in, avail yourself of the selection of beers by the jug and the interesting desserts. Oh, and plenty of parking out the back.

If you like your pizza with a thin crisp base, sparse toppings, and lots of flavour, you’ll love Il Borgo Café. These guys not only do a great pizza, but also all your usual Italian fare, from pastas, lasagne(which is really really nice), to meat dishes and poultry. And of course there are plenty of desserts, because would it really be an Italian restaurant without them? Il Borgo’s combine great food, a family friendly atmosphere with great prices making it a winner all round.
