Infuzions is more or less a Thai restaurant. But… it has a nicely upgraded modern décor with an open kitchen, serving staff are relatively professional and the menu has a few twists and turns that make it more interesting fare than the countless other Thai restaurants on the North side of Sydney. «Tapas» must be the most de rigour and overused word in the restaurant business, and Infuzions is no exception. We used to call these appetisers in the old days but it seems to be a clever way to charge a lot for a small amount of food. At least at Infuzions the«tapas» plates are pretty generous. No major surprises on the food per se although the most original dish was the Larb Salmon which was really good. The BBQ lamb cutlets were also very tasty and not something I’ve had before. All of this comes at a cost, and Infuzions is definitely more expensive than other Thai places around. You’re paying for a much nicer atmosphere and service, with some originality in the menu.

Efficient and friendly service in a warm but well lit ambiance. Great for quiet catch up with your partner or to share with friends. Tapas starters is a nice touch. The Larb Salmon and prawn dumplings for starters are a must and the red curry wagyu beef is awesome. Crispy pork belly also highly recommended.

We had dinner here on 18th June 2015. The interior décor is exquisite which drew us in. The kitchen is completely exposed so you can see your meal being prepared. The place is BYO hence we bought a bottle of chardonay from bottle shop next door to compliment the spicey tastes of Thai food. The menu is magnificently produced with glossy photos of sumptuous dishes. The prices are reasonable with Lobster Pad Thai being most expensive at $ 29. This place is classy. We began with entre of Betel Leaf Prawn. There are 3 in a serving for $ 9. You must try this because it is a taste sensation. For mains we had Twice Cooked Pork Belly $ 22 and Wagyu Beef in Pepper Sauce $ 24 plus Spice rice $ 4. Fast service, tasty food in a happy atmosphere. I enjoyed this experience. By the way the desert menu looked sensational.

Solid 3.5 stars for this establishment in the trendy Cammeray strip. Selected by my sister, to celebrate the 16th birthday of her youngest, a group of six of us headed down to taste the Asian Fusion delights on offer. The establishment is a long rectangular space, with the partially open kitchen adjacent to the bar down one side and a lovely feature brick wall with fake topiaries down the opposite side. There is also a larger, more quiet dining area at the rear. Note: there is rear access via the car park — handy on a rainy night! The service was pretty good and there were even moments of brilliance — such as when the rather handsome chap I am guessing is the proprietor, or at least someone with oodles of experience in the industry suggested, without prompting, would we like equal servings of six pieces of the selections we had made that were numbered less on the menu. Yes please! I explained to this rather accommodating chap that onion products and I are not the greatest of friends(I have a severe intolerance) and could he request that nothing with onion added through to serve, such as a spring onion garnish, or raw onion through the salads etc be omitted. He accepted the suggestion with ease, ensuring he would write it on the order notice in large letters. Alas, as is common, the request was overlooked and the first dish appeared with pickled onion throughout the salad. But no matter, it was a terrific dish, said the others. I did not make a fuss, and nor do I mean to do so now. First world problems, huh? Like I said, it’s happened before, I am sure it will happen again. We had a lovely selection of dishes from the red duck curry(terrific) to the pad see ew, with a chargrilled chicken skewer, crispy pork belly and a couple of serves of the dumplings along the way. They were all delicious and presented prettily, but not pretty enough that you didn’t want to eat them. Food, get in my mouth! The only other point of service I might note was the waitresses’ keenness to clear the dinner plates from one end of the table, whilst there was still food available and others eating at the other end. Tut tut, hands off! If you are ok with raised volume in a busy restaurant(it was noisy in there) and you’d like some free parking out the back [at night], some decent service with a sufficient bar selection and a gaze at a very handsome man who runs the place, oh, and some terrific tasting food, then by all means, I would recommend Infuzions. Even if it is deliberately misspelled.

We’ve been watching this place since it opened. It had a very slow start, but has improved dramatically. It’s always busy. The food is fusion asian. The specials are presented with a lot of flair — particularly the lobster pad thai.

The balls on these guys! How dare a Thai restaurant offer Chinese-style yum cha on Saturdays and Sundays! How dare they upset the long-held status quo! This is the North Shore dammit, we don’t go in for these kind of progressive shenanigans. Nah just joshing I love that these guys are mixing things up and trying out something unexpected to give us sheltered Shore-ites a taste of summat different. We need a catalyst to shock us out of our super-suburban torpor. Is this it? Could be. We were the first ones in the door at 11am and had the whole place to ourselves. I dig wood furnishings more than I can tell you and this place would really sing at night with warm lighting and warm wood but it was a little lost at that time of day. .. felt like eating in a night-time restaurant at day-time, if that makes sense. It probably doesn’t. I haven’t had a coffee yet, so… The dead pick of the yum cha menu are the giant juicy prawns sat atop a bed of sweet shredded coconut on crisp green betel leaves drizzled with a sweet brown sauce(I want to say tamarind. .. ?). Stunning, and presented beautifully. Pick of the dumpers were the scallop and prawn. Gonna come back and try the Thai menu proper, some of the dishes looked rad, and very reasonably priced. I like reasonably priced. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I must confess this is a different review to my original intentions. This place is in my local shopping village and we watched as it was being fitted out, secretly hoping for a good Indian restaurant — I mean we already have two Thai, two Italian, two cafes, a Chinese a Japanese and a couple of pizza places, plus of course the Belgian Beer place. All we need is a good curry for the full set, so to speak. So when it opened as a bit of this and a bit of that, we were a little skeptical. We duly went along in the first week and were rather confused by the menu — seemed to be crossover Thai, Chinese and other assorted Asian bits. And the place smelt of oil and grease — one of her pet hates. Nevertheless, we wanted to support local business, and away we went. A glimmer of hope on the wine list — some great Two Hands wines, my favourites, couple of notable Central Otago pinot noirs, and a mix of other rather good wines. But to be fair our first experience was pretty ordinary, and we didn’t think we would be back. And so I thought I would give them an average review at best, but then I read the first reviewers notes and thought, you know what, we owe them another try. It’s proof folks, Unilocal works! So we went again last night — and indeed the atmosphere has improved, the décor is very nice, the staff attentive, and the wine list still good. I had a duck curry, she the marinated chicken, and shared salt and pepper prawn entrée. It was all very nice — the chicken is a huge dish, the meat coming on one of those gimmicky hanging skewers, but large well flavoured and cooked portions. The duck curry was well flavoured, with lychees and pineapple, and our salt and pepper prawns were a little different to our expectation but very nice. the staff were very attentive, water glasses continually filled, that kind of thing. So Infuzions, a narrow escape for you, a average to bad review turned around by another reviewer convincing me to try again, and a good second experience outshining our previous. And in fact, we will return, so all in all a success. Give it a whirl.

This is a brilliant restaurant. I’ve eaten here a few times. It’s great value, the food is superb(try the lamb shank it rocks). and the service is great. Also it’s not that busy as it’s a really big space so you can always get a table when you want
