A good alternative to the busy mamariya which is only a few steps away. I like there sushi, fresh and good quality and clams in alcohol, yum! The main issue is that it’s cramp inside but otherwise it’s pretty good Japanese food here and it’s almost right next to the train station

This hidden gem in Campsie is located on the left hand side when exiting Campsie train station. They have a different lunch special for every day of the week and have a decent variety of sushi and nigiri on their menu. I ordered a mixed aburi sushi and a half and half salmon and tempura don lunch special. The sushi came out on a lovely boat design platter and consisted of scallops, seared salmon belly and kingfish, it tasted great. The half and half salmon don consisted of a bowl of udon with tempura, bowl of rice topped with fresh salmon and a small salad. I enjoyed the tempura and found the rice was nicely cooked. Next time I might just order the nigiri and sushi as they are my favourites. Give this place a try in Campsie!

A nice, efficient little Japanese place. They served the seared sushi on a plate so wide it was touching my neighbor’s elbow. The udon was a little tasteless, but everything else including the ramen and karage were delicious. Campsie is my new food project and so far it’s been a success.
