I didn’t know Canberra Centre before it was done up, but it seems to have everything you’d want in a big shopping Centre. There are fancy stores, there are $ 2, and there are the useful stores like Target and Big W. The food court seemed a little lacklustre, filled with mostly fast food, and not many interesting options. Skip it all together and head to Dobinson’s instead on the ground floor. There’s paid parking, but at least it’s fairly cheap. At the end of the day it’s a shopping centre, and in Australia they usually don’t get too excited. It’s not as sterile and intimidating as some fancier shopping centres, and you could definitely do a lot worse.
