Cosmetics Plus

This is not the place to go if you’re after a Chanel lippy, but it does cheap and cheerful cosmetics (think Revlon polishes reduced to $ 4.95) and all sorts of other frivolous but fun bits’n’bobs.
And it is one of the few places in Brissie I’ve managed to find some decent fluoro nail polishes — my summer obsession. If you like a statement nail too, I can recommend two polishes by BK (nope, I hadn’t heard of it before either) in pink (No. 69) or orange (No. 70).
The shop also sells everything from makeup by brands like Rimmel, Maybelline and Almay; to false eyelashes; adhesive bra caps (for those outfits which require you to go bra-​less, but you don’t want to be nipples ahoy); wigs; jewellery; and hairbands — to name a handful of girl-​tastic things.
I have happily killed time here while waiting for my bus home (the bus station is just to the right and down the stairs) buying lipglosses I don’t need, rainbow-​coloured eyeshadow palettes and a cheeky trinket or two — and still have change from $ 20.
