Considering the options in the area I would give this one a miss. Coffee was burnt. Scrambled eggs were bland as was the whole breakfast(veggie big breakfast). My partner also found a moth in his breakfast, to be fair we didn’t tell the staff so they could not defended themselves and it is something that was most likely out of their control but it really put me off. Though my breakfast being so bland I didn’t mind not finishing it after the moth discovery. On the plus side the staff are lovely and friendly and the café itself is stylish and comfortable.

Nice little shop, service was brilliant, coffee ok & food good. Had avocado with coriander & chilli and poached eggs. All was nice but I don’t think there was even close to half an avo on the plate and a mountain of herb. Could be a really nice breakie if it wasn’t on the stingy side. I will return to give it another chance.

A corner café worth spending a sunny weekend sipping lattes and digging into the Big Breakfast with sausage, bacon, hash brown, Eggs, tomato, mushrooms, ciabatta. But you simply must order some black pudding with it. If not then just go for the sweet waffles instead, maybe even the savoury waffles — cornmeal and cheese waffles with eggs, bacon, spinach and relish. It surprisingly tasty, and it’s even better with a side order of black pudding.

I only just discovered this café this morning and am kicking myself that I didn’t get in sooner. If you are willing to walk an extra block or two outside of the Rathdowne Village café hub, you will find a stunning venue that stocks Di Bella coffee and T2 teas(the best you can buy), and a variety of house-baked goods such as muffins(I had the choc-banana. Wow.), delectable cakes as well as savoury pies and sausage rolls. A full breakfast/lunch menu is also available if you are looking for something heavier. The service was warm and inviting and the food was very reasonably priced — only $ 3.30 for a coffee which is very cheap in this day and age! I cannot wait to go back here and slowly work my way through their menu and relax with a perfectly made latte.

Two on Rathdowne is a great place to get a hearty breakfast/brunch and leave feeling fulfilled. Especially if you get the steak sandwich, that one’s a solid for a ravenous hangover. I had the eggs benedict on the gluten free bread and I was very happy with the portion. Perhaps the hollandaise sauce was a little vinegary for my tastes, but that’s just a minor gripe. It hit the spot, right on. My friend had the amazing waffles(check out the pictures — hearts!) and we were all pretty satisfied with what we got. If you eat inside, there’s a good chance that you’ll also eye-off that display cabinet until you can’t take it anymore, and you have to eat one of the huge sweet monsters in there. Their berry cupcakes are to die for. The service was friendly as was the patronage, looking forward to coming back.
