This is a good thing for Chatty. Is this a good ting for Chatty? Yes. Maybe? Probably. I love the idea of communal spaces to bring a suburb together, especially in retail hubs where shopping trumps community. They tried grass first, then went to Astroturf when that got trod into dirt in the first year. But why did they only leave one tree! One sad little tree with no friends. And the gleaming silver concourse buildings sure do look pretty, but who’s ever gone inside? They shoulda chucked in a rooftop terrace or a balcony with a café where you could get a birds eye view of Chatty, and it would look like the building was being used and not a monument to something confusing. Now, I’m not a town planner or an engineer. I’m also not an architect, or a doctor. I just know what I like. The library is still awesome, I love how they’ve done that. And look, it’s way better than it was. We’re spoiled, really, but I just feel like they missed a couple of opportunities.
