This little café sits directly across from the Clarkson library. I had visited the library with my son and he was whining that he was hungry, so I decided to give it a go. It seemed like the better option to crossing the road and heading into the large shops. I was wrong. This place looks nice enough. There always seems to be a lot of pensioners sitting and enjoy cups of tea and cake. The service was quick and friendly. The food disappointing, tiny and over priced. Next time I will go further afield.

This is a really small café adjoined to the library. Now I can see its convenience, if you were spending a lot of time at the library and had a deadline but found you needed to dip out for a quick snack before you fainted. I think that that would be the only reason for me to ever need to return to this café-if I was on the verge of collapsing. I visited this place with an open mind and liked how it had a few tables even in the library room, with paintings displayed for sale. The café itself had homemade jaffle pies which looked nice but for their size were really expensive. There was hardly a range at all to choose from with any of the hot food. I ended up getting a Sheppard’s pie which could fit in the palm of my hand for $ 12. Which while tasting homemade was severely average and soul crushing knowing I wasted money and stomach space on this.
