Whenever I get a craving for dumplings I usually drag myself into the city. Not anymore Ping’s does amazing dumplings and I only have to travel to Clayton. If you are yet to discover the delicious food to be had in the multicultural area of Clayton then you are missing out. I used to teach in the area and would love to duck out at lunch time and grab some delicious authentic cuisines. I am sad that I have only just found Ping’s! We came on a recommendation and were not disappointed, the dumpling were just as good as the ones found in your fave places in China town. I enjoyed the duck dumplings, fried rice and the amazing pumpkin cakes. The service was quick and efficient and the décor was cheap and cheerful! A very inexpensive night out!

Delicious cheap dumplings in clayton– even better then china town in city. Order a lot and let them come at ya! Would definitely recommend the pork dumplings with soup as well as the pork dumplings, pumpkin cakes and garlic Chinese broccoli. Don’t expect fine dining or classy sliver tableware but do expect some great Chinese at a great price. Very loud and very quick service to make you feel really comfortable and just like home in Asia.

Cash only? Yeah. Terrible service. Also, cash only? What restaurant is cash only? It’s like, do you want my money or nah? Again, cash only? Update: the food is really good, like ridiculously good, which is what made me come a second time. Service is good and bad, depending on which rotating waiter/tress comes to bring you food or take your order, etc. I still can’t get over the fact that is cash only.

We visited this place the other day and it was definitely the last time. The girl who was taking our order, was absolutely not happy in the job she was in and had absolutely ZERO customer service skills, all of us had probably 5% of the food and left the rest as the pork they used was either off or was not cooked properly and was not edible ! They didn’t bother to ask us why we left too early or why didn’t we eat the whole thing. Which does justify they aren’t bothered about if someone likes their food or don’t. Absolutely disgusting place and would never recommend anyone ever.

Amazing food and very well priced. A must try are the pan fried pork and chicken dumplings and the spring rolls are delish! This place is a must try! The service is also extremely quick even when the restaurant is full.

Forget about the service… let’s just focus on the food at this venue — BEST Xiau Long Bao in Melbourne!!! There…I’ve put it out there… BIG call I know… but the delicious soup inside the Baos on offer at Ping’s is just divine and the best thing is that the soup never seems to be wasted because the parcel /skin is just the right thickness! Let’s face it… we’ve all experienced the devastation of carefully trying to pick these Baos up from the bamboo steamers only to watch the soup drain away because we’ve punctured the parcel! Well… NOMORE! Other must haves at Ping’s include the Pan Fried Dumplings(both pork and beef)…Shanghai Fried Noodles… and Mapo Tofu! Ping’s…Woh-Ai-Ni!
