Cute little café tucked away in the corner. I’ve had coffee and cake only. Coffee was great and the sweets were delish! Looking forward to having breaky there, the menu is simple and easy.

My meditation school is based across the road from Squirrel Café, so I am a regular here on the weekends. It’s an old milk bar converted to hipster café, complete with retro style furniture, 1930s Shanghai girl posters in the bathrooms and a minimalistic kitchen. The coffee is good, and they have a range of cakes and slices on offer. The breakfasts are fairly run of the mill and they offer salads, soups and sandwiches for lunches. All very simple, but nothing too exciting. THis is the only place for a few blocks in this part of Clifton Hill, and I suspect they have a captive audience. But if they faced some competition I suspect they wouldn’t fare so well as there’s nothing that stands out.

Nice and simple without being amazing. Went here every couple of days for a month but just got bored with what they do. Nothing wrong just nothing overly exciting. Would recommend.
