Fish market with a little restaurant inside. Very good fish and chips, probably one of the best in Perth. Would drive down from city just for this.

Probably the best fish and chips I ever had! This hidden gem is a fish monger /​fish and chips shop that serves fresh seafood. We had the fisherman basket and added battered mussels. I’ve never had deep fried mussels before, after sampling them here I would def order them again! Succulent, juicy and very fresh babies they were. The fish was a locally caught snapper lightly battered and you don’t get that really yucky/​heavy feeling after. I wasn’t expecting much from the chips but was pleasantly surprised to find out that they actually tasted better then many other more established fish and chip outlets!
Overall this place needs more recognition and better signage! ⁹⁄₁₀
Oh and they do sushis too and a decent tartare sauce.

Westnfresh, located next door to Tony Ale’s, offers a wide variety of (you guessed it) seafood. They also have several different kinds of sauces and spices at the front of the store. I — gasp — don’t cook or prepare seafood and honestly rarely eat it. But, I can slam back sushi like the best of y’all.
From the two rolls I got (approx. $ 11), I found it superb. I want this to be my new regular Friday «treat». Be sure to get there fast because at 1 p.m., the lunch hour had passed and so did much of the selection.
