In a nutshell, Papillionaire specialise in super cute, extremely kitsch and trendy vintage style bicycles. If you’ve ever ridden a vintage bike you’ll know it’s not nearly as much fun as it looks and frankly you’re far better of with a newer one that is not only cheaper to maintain it’s also more reliable. A Papillionaire bike has all the detailing of a vintage bike alongside the joy of customisation. For $ 500 odd bucks, you can choose details like the colour of the bike, the tyres, handgrips, whether or not you have a basket and a metal carrier on the back. Papillionaire also sell a lot of the loot that goes along with bike riding — helmets, spokey dokeys(okay, don’t quote me on that one) and other such stuff. The only sad part? With their bikes being so popular, they can be hard to get your hands on. Get in quick or be prepared to go on a waitlist.
