Best chocolate gelato I have ever had! It was super dark and delicious! The portion size and the price was perfect. So many different flavors, I wish I was staying here longer so I could try them all. I plan to stop by the remaining days I’m here. Also FYI, they have air conditioning!

After a long hard day at the beach you deserve to spoil yourself with a gelato from Gelatissimo. The thing I love best about this chain store is how it goes above and beyond the normal flavours and provides us with a never ending selection of flavours with a creative twist. Black sesame. Caramelised fig. Crème caramel. Cinnamon donut. Profiterole. The list goes on. The gelato is made fresh daily not only because this place is so popular and the ice-cream literally walks out the door, but also because the company believes in delivering the freshest produce. They also have gluten free and dairy free options to look after those with dietary requirements. The prices are high so I generally stick to one scoop. Considering how I often I eat here, this is a blessing in disguise.

Coogee Bay Road boasts one, as does Circular Quay. There are actually 30 of these delicious stores and there are bound to be more and more. The look of the ice cream alone is enough to convince you that this is one authentic ice cream store. And the smell… Mmmmmmmm! What caught my eye at 10pm(Yes, they are open very late!) was bucket after bucket of chocolate decadence. It was a promotion called ‘Death by Chocolate’ and let me tell you something, that is HEAVEN to me! The sweet cocoa was wafting around the store and arousing my senses. It was difficult to choose amongst the huge selection and then I saw it. Sugar free. Are you serious? It can’t be any good right? Wrong! It was amazing… and totally guilt free. I even took some home for my flatmate ‘T’ who was very skeptical, being a dude and all, and he loved it! It was seriously good. It was so relaxing to know that just around the corner until 10:30 at night you could solve some serious chocolate cravings. And then the unthinkable happened. They changed the promotion to ‘Think Pink’ Arghhhhhhhh!!! I guess it’s a good thing as it is supporting the McGrath foundation. I just hope they bring my sugar free chocolate back. Until then, there are many, many more scrumptious flavours of ice cream and sorbet to choose from and I’m sure they will continue to lure me in with their exciting promotions.
