On a par with Haandi(now Haldi) in Fremantle, to me they are the best curry houses in WA by a mile. Delicious delicately cooked food and nice friendly staff. Worth being a little more expensive than the rest because it’s better

Very good flavours. More creamy than spicey. Delicious. Possibly the best Indian I have had in Perth. We were 5, and shared 5 dishes and 3 rice and breads. There was much more food to go round than we anticipated. Never a bad thing. The staff were only too happy to box it up to take home. The service was prompt and friendly. Even though we were seated off to the side, out of sight, staff didnt forget about us. Loved all the dishes, no stand-out amongst the bunch for me — maybe the butter chicken.

I was a little disappointed with Two Fat Indians, after all the hype from other Unilocalers, but it was still a great meal. Headed there for Mother’s Day dinner with my Mother In Law. Complimentary pappadums was a nice touch, then we ordered and quickly scoffed down some garlic naan which was exceptionally soft, fluffy and covered in hot garlic butter. Service was very friendly and prompt. For mains we tried the butter chicken(how can you not get butter chicken when our for Indian), the goat curry and also the aloo gobi. The dishes were good, but not the best Indian I have had in Perth, Anghiti is still number one for me. They’re BYO wine only and they do take-out too. Probably best to park at the shopping centre on the other side of Stirling Highway, as parking is limited at The Boat Shed nearby.

This place serves AMAZING and tasty food. Well staffed! Got looked after as my partner found her dish to be a tad spicy and they offered to make her a mild one without question when they saw that she was struggling with the heat of the dish. I had the house special goat curry. Recommended! We also had a share vegetarian platter, of which they changed out one of the options without hesitation. Delicious! A little more pricey than usual but given the location and expected clientele, it was expected.

Had the non-vegetarian buffet with delicious samosas(one of the best I had as it wasn’t all potato but had nuts in it), lamb kebab, tandoori chicken, lamb saga ala, butter chicken, dhaal, vegetarian potato curry, selection of naans and rice all for 42 dollars per person. It was unlimited refill too. Great value. Great service. Missing a cocktail menu.

The food here was incredible! I always love Indian and tend to get the same things every time. However, the options here were quite unique; we actually ended up splitting a number of appetizers rather than ordering mains, which was a great decision. They were quite substantive and had all the beauty of Indian flavors with a different twist than most Indian restaurants I’ve been to. Slightly pricey, and the acoustics aren’t great, so perhaps not the best for an intimate date-type evening, but the food was incredible and I would absolutely recommend it!

In a similar mode as its sister in Highgate, this Indian restaurant serves up some of the best curries and breads in Perth. Their menu is very extensive offering a wide selection of vegetarian options which is always a good sign. The lamb dishes are stunning with melt in your mouth lamb pieces. If you are going to choose this place for dinner my recommendation is don’t get take-away, sit in and let the staff wait on you, it may make the cost seem more excusable to yourself and your budget. I would have no hesitations in recommending this place to anyone whether a couple, a group of friends or a staff night out.

2 Fat Indians was amazing! This is the type of dinner you walk away from so so happy. The restaurant is very upscale and posh inside. They have a nice wine menu, and you can get a glass of wine for $ 7, a great start. We ordered the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Rogan Josh. Both dishes were wonderful. The meat in the Butter Chicken dish was incredibly soft, softer than the lamb. The butter chicken was also a little bit spicy. The Lamb Rogan had the best sauce. It had such an interesting flavorful, and went great with the Naan. Definitely order the rice, as the dishes are best over a heaping mound of basmanti. They offer three different kinds of rice: plain basmanti, saffron and jeera(sautéed with cumin seeds), and we preferred the jeera rice best. Each plate is around $ 20, or a little less for the vegetarian dishes. This place is definitely worth your money, as the quality of the food is top notch. I can’t wait to go back.
