I started coming here after my doctor recommended I have sessions in an infrared sauna for a medical condition. I haven’t tried any of the fitness equipment or training but I LOVE the sauna here and have noticed an improvement in my pain levels after a session. It’s also very relaxing and makes my skin all glowy and amazing for several days afterwards. 30 minutes will cost you 20 bucks but you can buy a ten session bundle for 160. The owner is very friendly and helpful and the location is a convenient ten minute walk from Southern Cross station.

Strange name for an excellent fitness training facility. Vibromania offers a training program of circuit training type movement on a vibrating plate. It sounds a bit odd but it really works! Within only one month my strength in push ups, squats and most of all my core, increased significantly. I did this 3 times per week for 8 weeks and lost 10 kilograms. Each workout only lasts 20 minutes and you are guided through the program by an experienced personal trainer when assistance is required. I know the name is slightly off putting, but friends that I’ve referred here have also got great results and enjoyed the experience. I can’t sing my praises enough about this place — I love it and I would recommend it to anyone(in fact, I do!)

This is the kind of place you wish had a better name so you could talk about it without feeling like people are jumping to conclusions about what the business does! A small gym offering a unique training program that involves standing on a vibrating plate whilst doing a variety of movements over 30 minutes, Vibromania is a business that really deserves more attention. The staff are friendly and really get to know each client and their training goals. I started coming here after a back injury and found that it was a great way to work out and tone up without needing to lift weights. I like the 30 minute quick ‘get in, get out’ approach of the training, although you can always hang around and do some work on the cardio machines if you feel like it. They also offer altitude training for those aiming for a stroll up Everest, along with an infrared sauna which is really great after a work out. I’m not sure how great a job it does at really expelling toxins(one hopes it helps to get out some of the gin I drink!), but I do know that I sleep like a baby after a session in the private sauna and treat myself a couple of times a month just to relax.
