Like what one of the reviewers said, cute space and great atmosphere. Service was great, friendly and genuine. Our party of 3 ordered coffees and tea — really lovely lemongrass and ginger tea and lunch. Ordered: Vegetable tart of the day — in a quiche style with a side of lightly dressed greens. Mixed grain supergrain Salad — with quinoa, goji berries, feta, pea & soft poached egg. Braised ox tongue — served on toast with burnt onion purée and mustard butter. I enjoyed our meal and the whole experience, but it’s one of those places where it’s a nice experience but not much of a wow factor.

Awesome local café. Service so good from obviously professional staff. You are greeted and seated with such friendliness and professionalism. I love being able to look into the kitchen and also have the baristas as centrepiece to the space. Food is amazing and great coffee.

As school drop off is right around the corner from Glen Huntley we have a plethora of cafes to choose from for a good cuppa, enter Glovers Station. Perfect for large groups, spacious open and airy, and always relatively populated. Here’s the thing, they have a cranky grey haired server who thinks its an absolute favor to be waiting on you. He has such disdain for his customers that its visible on his face and every acidic syllable off his tongue. But I won’t hold a café to just its one staffer as I’ve had several others who’ve been courteous enough. Food is good, eclectic, and fresh an the coffee is what’d you’d expect from a café. Its a nice change from the Glen Huntley row but not enough to make me go out of my way on a regular basis.

Firstly, this place is amazing looking. It’s a really nice space for a quiet coffee with mates. They’ve done a great job in making the space look fabulous. I’ve visited once and the food was good. I had a poached egg with beetroot, goats cheese and olive tapenade. It was yummy, if a little over engineered. The prices are a bit steep — $ 18 for my dish was at the higher end for Melbourne brunch options, when it had a single poached egg and a small piece of toast. The menu is not easy for vegetarians — very few options, even for brunch which is typically easy to get right for vegos. Disappointing. The menu is complicated. Everything seemed(in that typically trendy style) to be smoked, or organic or whatever. Blergh. Just call it eggs Benedict for goshs sake. Coffee was good — expect your usual Melbourne standard of coffee here. Service was friendly but not attentive. We sat with empty plates for a good 20 mins before they were finally cleared away. Empty water glasses for most of the meal I think they have potential — if there was a more accessible and friendly menu it would have been 4 stars for me. But for now, I’m not in a rush to head back. Batch in Balaclava remains the best in the area! Might try lunch at some point in the future, but the prices don’t make me want to hurry back!

Such a great place. Never disappoints! Amazing service and the food is terrific. I really love it here. The décor is great too, though not amazed with the upholstery. Funny place to have a café like this. Right in the heart of the conservative bagel belt. So pleased they saved this building.

Not interested in returning. Unless chef is replaced. I went in on Saturday. Nice looking place converted car workshop. I ordered a strong latte and my GF ordered a soy latte. Mine came out well presented tasted pretty decent, my GFs came out like it was dropped on the floor and scooped up. The presentation was terrible and it had coffee dripping down the side. Didn’t taste so good either. Anyway. I ordered eggs Benedict. Asked to change the ham to bacon. The waitress promptly said no changes to the menu. After my disappointment. I ordered smoked bacon, eggs and avocado. My GF ordered beans on toast. My food came out. So bland and flavorless. I have no idea you could mess up something so simple. The smoked bacon tasted like cardboard. My 2 fried eggs were hard boiled. The avocado was just half an avocado with no presentation. The beans on toast were also extremely dry and terrible flavour. My GF had 2 mouthfuls and couldn’t continue, we stopped eating. Cost me $ 48. Don’t waste your time and money. Go down the road to — Hawk & Hunter.
