Not terribly impressed. Went with the honey soy chicken bùn & tiger shrimp banh mi. Chicken was dry & tasted old… shrimp was ok, but nothing special. Hearty sandwich, but just meh. Iced coffee was, well… BZZZZZZZZZZZ

Nicely priced food with lovely flavours. I highly recommend the pork belly Vietnamese salad. There are some veg there to help you neutralise he pork belly

Friendly staff and super fresh summer rolls. The crab rolls on the weekend are my favorite and they have several vegetarian options available.

It’s been hard to go past when this place is actually open but I finally got the chance. The food was very delicious, fresh and reasonably priced. Definitely go back again for more

My love-hate relationship with Great Aunty is strong, but shhhh, don’t tell her… Your first thought when you’re warmly welcomed through the door of this family-run business will inevitably be «Miss Chu.» While the modern and funky décor of this phở-tastic Vietnamese joint does resemble the charm of the Chu, the attitude and philosophy is completely different! The couple who own it are absolutely lovely and pride themselves on fresh and unique flavor fusions. They’re also extremely vegetarian friendly and have three or four vegetarian rice paper variations that have faux meat, as well as a faux meat salad roll. While I’m not typically one to go «meaty,» I tried the faux prawn roll which was packed with pepitas and apples — items definitely not conventional for a salad roll. They’re still experimenting with their vegetarian phở, which I cannot wait for, by my partner claims the phở and the pork rolls are among the best hes had! And now for the hate … While I think it’s fantastic for businesses to «run out» of items, as it means they’ve sold well that day, I can only recall one time I visited Great Aunty when they had everything in stock. As the vego options are already limited, it has been frustrating to head for a late lunch and find the only thing still available is one flavor of spring roll. But again, this is nothing to fret about, and Great Aunty is a feel-good, street food café that you’ll feel good walking into and even better walking out of! Definitely worth the five minute walk from Newtown Station down Enmore!

I LOVEBAHNMI and I know I’m not alone in that. We quickly ran down to Great Aunty Three during the lunch break at the conference I was attending. They were just about finished prep when we arrived, and we were served quickly. We had a good chat with the owner, who’s aunt(after whom the shop was named) is very passionate about vegetarian food. Needless to say, the bahn mi and rice paper rolls(made in front of us) were delicious. We left before we started eating, and as soon as we’d taken the first bite of a rice paper roll, I ran back inside to buy more. Very highly recommended.

This is a yummy place that serves Vietnamese street food. Sadly when I went, they didn’t have phở(they only serve it on weekends) so I had another noodle dish. Very yummy, ingredients are fresh, the meals are light and I felt very healthy eating it! Hehe! I should really go back to try their other stuff. I’ve heard good things about their banh mi.
