Just when I had rated real estate agents lower than used car salesmen and news of the world phone hackers, along came RUN property to restore my faith in property managers. My husband and I were recently put in a situation where we had to find a property… pronto. Having had nothing but slow to respond, unhelpful agents with poor attitudes in the past, our confidence was low that we would be able to find a property suitable for our family in the limited time frame we had. So, one weekend feeling despondent we went to have a look at the only suitable property available at the time. It was perfect, and Courtney, the agent actually seemed to listen to our story and commiserate with our dilemma. She took down our number, gave us some application forms and said they would be in touch. Although we felt buoyed by the house and how nice Courtney had been we held out no hope of hearing from her, and possibly even less hope of being successful in getting the house. Unbelievably, at 10:00am the next Monday, I received a call from the actual representative for the property asking if we were interested in applying for the property, explaining Courtney had told her of our story and that she wanted to help in any way she could. If I got the application into her that afternoon, she promised she would have a response for me that day. Impressed by the service but still not optimistic about any further outcome, I took my sweet time and managed to swing past my nearest RUN office after 1:00pm. Considering she was located on the other side of the city I had buckley’s of hearing anything that day, I thought to myself. I actually considered I’d be lucky to hear anything back by the end of the week. To my absolute surprise, at 3:00pm Karen, the angel agent called me back to say we had been successful in getting the house and that we could move in by the end of the week! Like a dream the rest of the process ran like clockwork; Karen organised one of her counterparts from the Essendon office, Stewart to take care of the paperwork with me so I could go into that office which was closest to me. Karen called each day to make sure Stewart had kept me informed and that I had signed everything needed to move in on the day. She even arranged to meet me on move in day at the Essendon office, just so we could meet in person! Stewart was also wonderful and both he and Karen made a usual stressful process the most simple move in, in the history of move ins! I can’t speak more highly of the RUN rental team, particularly Karen who doesn’t actually work from the Essendon office but did so, in conjunction with Stewart to avoid any hardship for me or my husband. Even the receptionist was helpful each and every time I went in there; the first time I needed some stuff copied and sent to Karen, she scanned and emailed them instead so they’d go straight to Karen, and then called as soon as she sent the email in front of me to advise Karen she had received my application. It’s the service you only ever dream about. If you need to rent in or around Essendon, go go GO to RUN Property first. Hopefully you’ll find what you’re looking for in terms of a rental and I’m positive your experience will be every bit the dream mine was.
