The Printmaker Gallery stocks some of the most exquisite prints in Australia.
Stepping inside you are immediately bombarded with prints of all sizes. From large and phenomenal David Nixon prints that hang high on the wall, to tiny small artworks that you flip through in one of the folders, the Printmaker Galley has hundreds of works available.
I am always astounded at the variety of art works. From modern and very rhythmic pieces (David Nixon’s etchings are sublime) to static and interesting landscapes, there is something for everyone’s taste in this little gallery.
The Printmaker Gallery also has some beautiful indigenous art work from North Australia.
The staff are excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable, they will help you locate the works of a certain artist, or recommend particular pieces that are both unique and excellent options for gifts.
On several occasions when my mother and I have been buying prints for friends overseas I have been impressed with the advice and service we received.
The Printmaker Gallery also makes frames for prints and artwork and have exhibitions where you can purchase the work off the wall.
