Seven Deadly Sins is conveniently located 5 minutes from my house. I thought it was perfect that I purchased a scoopon for it and if I liked it, it would be easy to get to in the future. Unfortunately, my experience was lukewarm if that.
I booked an appointment about a month in advance only to be told two days before that the hairdresser wasn’t actually back from holiday. Luckily they were able to reschedule me for the following Saturday morning.
The experience was unprofessional. I didn’t feel comfortable being there and the hairdresser was very arrogant — «I’m the hairdresser, I’m fantastic, you’re just THE customer» sort of attitude. At one point, her colleague asked her what she wanted done to my hair. She said something about straightening it so I repeated this to the colleague — «She wants my hair straight so she can cut the layers». You know what her she said? «Why are you asking her? She’s just the customer.» Look lady, it’s my hair.
The worst part is we never discussed what I wanted done with my hair. I briefly said something at the start that I wanted to keep the length and needed my hair relayered, but I actually also wanted a fringe, which I never got a chance to articulate. She just started cutting so I was a bit nervous.
The end result? I liked the colour we chose. It’s a colour I would have normally chosen, but I didn’t like the haircut. My layers were uneven and slightly choppy. The overall experience wasn’t that great. I’ve gone to better places and won’t be coming back. Luckily I didn’t pay full price.
