This place was incredible. Had a picnic with my family on the beach eating kebabs and chips. Everything was so fresh, the chips were hot, the kebab was hot. The salad was tasty(I’ve had kebabs where the salad is questionable). The meat(I had chicken) was lean, it’s wasn’t fatty or all thigh. The flavours were amazing. We all made such a mess, but that’s okay, I could bathe in these kebabs. So perfect. Also lets not forget how late they’re open til, and it’s actually the most perfect meal after a night of clubbing.

As opposed to Alen, I’m not a big fan of kebabs at all. I’m not immune from their pull during a heavy night of drinking, but it generally leads to me waking up with the beef sweats in the morning, so it’s not a good idea. Luckily, when you order a bowl of chips in this joint you get a seriously massive bowl full of reconstituted potatoes. So generally I know that if I end up here at 3am, I’m not going to choose the painful option of a kebab because I know the alternative is more satisfying. You could share one of these with about three friends and still have chips left over at the end. The atmosphere is somewhat lacking in this place; plastic laminated walls, tacky mirrors and neon lighting gives it a seedy vibe. The constant calling out of order numbers provides an intrusive soundtrack too, so I’d suggest taking your order away once you’ve got it.

Good cheap kebabs. Market Street is full of kebab options and most of them are good and most of them are served and made by Turkish families. Nick’s is no exception and it always seems to be open. I can’t guarantee that the kebabs taste as good in the daylight as they do at night but if they do, they are pretty decen wraps of meaty and salady delights.

I preface this review that I’m a big fan of kebabs. And this guys have the best kebabs I know of. Sure, it kinda looks… completely meh, but when the food is this good that doesn’t matter. I mostly visit this place after a hard night of clubbing in Fremantle. When you’ve had few drinks and been on your feet solid 5 hours or so certain hunger can strike you. And there is nobody else I trust to satisfy it at 4 in the morning except for this place. Now, the opening hours are wonky. When I asked what are their opening hours they said that they are open whenever there is traffic in Fremantle. After pressing them for a bit they gave me the info provided but take it as a rough guide. Only think important is that they work late in the night on weekends(till like 4am). Price probably isn’t their strong suit but I am more then willing to shell out 10 bucks for a good kebab. And they have good kebabs.
