Outdoor Reading Room

A fanstastic (and free to the public) initiative by Fremantle Library! It is a great way to promote the (almost) lost art of reading to the general public, and the hundreds of youths who would walk through the area daily.
I can’t think of a better way to spend an afternoon than sitting under a tree with a good book and I’m glad that I don’t seem to be the only one! No matter what time of the day I seem to go past here, morning, afternoon or night time, there is always someone in the area.
There are tables and chairs, powerpoints to plug in electronic devices, a great atmosphere and surroundings and a beautiful tree that is lit up with Christmas lights by night. One of my favourite places — it seems to just have that ‘summer feel’ about it!
