I’m always surprised when I visit beautiful church’s such as this one with the fact that they are still operational. I think this has a lot to do with the fact that after living in Italy for two years(country of churches, really), I barely ever walked into a church that still did services, and weddings and funerals. This is the second church in Fremantle that is not only a) beautiful, but also b) fully functioning. St John’s Anglican Church in Fremantle is in the heart of the city. WIth a huge public park surrounding it, there’s invariably a crowd enjoying the nice weather outside the church every single day. Inside, it seems a lot bigger and grander than from the outside. Visitors are free to roam around, and are also welcome to 8am services on Sunday mornings. Another beautiful church in central Fremantle.
