Being vegetarian, the only thing I order here are the chips… And boy, are they amazing! Best chips I’ve ever had in Adelaide, every time without fail. If you’re going to go anywhere for chips, go here! You won’t be disappointed.

Chicken cave, chicken cave. What sort of business does an tree hugging, animal loving, jandal wearing vego have in a chicken cave you might ask. Potentially as much business as Abbott has being in a scientific debate. But wait no. Unlike the latter the chicken cave has many redeeming features. CHIPS. POTATOFRITTERS. PINEAPPLEFRITTERS. YUUM. OMNOM. oh wait sorry this isn’t parliament I will use my big girl words. The chips here are so finger licking delicious that you should come here just for the chips, always crunchy yet deliciously soft and warm in the middle and perfect for dipping in a cold, rich tomatoey sauce. I judge places based on chips, and this place does stupendously, sensationally good chips. The potato fritters are just as sensational. So come here. And if you are inclined to eat chicken(you’re reading my chicken cave review so chances are high) the chicken are Lilydale free range.

Yummy Chicken Cave! Sometimes you just get a craving for chicken and chips don’t you? It’s a better option than Fish and Chips if you ask me. Not as greasy. This place is always busy. I don’t think I’ve ever gone there and been the only one waiting in line. Sometimes you have to wait outside it’s that busy. Obviously that’s an indication that the food is good here. Sure it’s not great, but it’s as good as you’re gonna get for take-away food. It’s always hot, it’s not too expensive and the food is pretty fresh. Perfect food to bring to the beach, or take home and enjoy with the family when you just can’t be bothered cooking.
